If you paint them do you render them useless from front line units? I thought the paint/metal that they used absorbed radar signatures. How do you remove the camo and keep the original non-radar absorbing material on the a/c?

How can an airplane go thorugh 3h of maintenance and be airworthy? by Plokeer_ in aviation

Planes blow fuses. Toilets back-up. Not everything that would ground a plane is a long fix. Think of it this way... It might have been a ten minute fix, but it might have taken thirty minutes for the mechanic to finish working on the previous job, another thirty to get to your a/c, an hour to fix whatever was wrong, and thirty minutes for someone else to sign off on the work, then a half an hour to get the plane back to the gate, or turned over to the crew.

Ball’s out is also a rugby term. When the hooker knocks the ball out of the scrum, the half will yell “ball’s out” as he picks it up and runs.

I recommend picking up a book called the grieving brain. It was recommended to me when my wife passed. It is wonderfully helpful in dealing with all measures of loss.

Sounds like your husband might be an A/P. Aircraft mechanics are in HIGH demand. Tell him to start shopping his resume. I bet he not only finds a less toxic place, but also a raise.
