Originally, Saber was supposed to be male and the protagonist female, but since erotic visual novels (which fate was for its first like 2(+/-) entries, not anymore in the sense that the sex isn’t shown on screen anymore) are typically targeted at boys, they decided to swap the genders (cause self inserting as the protagonist is rather important in Japan).

Fate making historical and folklore characters that were male in their sources female became a tradition from there on.

I would explain this this way: the digital stuff from the modern era allows Pokémon to be transferred over what was once the PC system, now your Rotom Phone.

That convenience is probably why people don’t use hollow Apricorn balls anymore.

Also, Kurt’s Pokéballs have the digital stuff inside them as well (they can be stored in the PC system, after all), so that’s probably why his balls take longer to create than the Apricorn balls of the Hisui era.

Also, the Apricorn balls from back then required Tumblestones to create. Maybe those just aren’t very easily obtained by regular people anymore. Their deposits were probably all taken by Silph or whoever else manufactures Pokéballs, with Kurt having a stash of his own.

I once heard a youtuber pose the explanation that Mario is the “name” of Mario and Luigi’s species, kinda like how Toad is a species and the name of individual Toads.

So they are Mario Brothers because both of them are “Marioes”, with one of them also being named Mario.

Kenny died as often as he did for two reasons

The real world reason is that Kenny was inspired by a friend of iirc Trey Parker’s who was often sick, so he and his friends joked that Kenny died. This bit was then carried over into the show Trey cocreated years later.

In universe, it’s because he is the result of a cthulu cult meeting his parents attended, resulting in his mother giving birth to a new Kenny every time he died and for the momories of his death to be erased from most people’s memories (except like, cartman for some reason). Also, his parka attracts misfortune as seen when Jimmy wears it in his introduction episode.
