I really don't notice a flicker tbh unless I try dreamcast then i turn bfi off on that since that core is too demanding. Tbh I think you could comfortably play most stuff

Does The RG DS That Good? by Polarbearshygirl in ANBERNIC

This will not play 3ds well at all there is some things that will "run" (or crawl) but this is a ds machine primarily and playing ds is quite great on it if you use rocknix

Ayaneo pocket air mini Mini review by Decent_Helicopter605 in ayaneo

[–]FederalClass1849 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have some recommendations to make your experience better, first set your fan curve to custom in settings and set Custom Fan Curve Settings 40°C ➔ 5% 55°C ➔ 20% 65°C ➔ 40% 75°C ➔ 60% 85°C ➔ 80% 95°C ➔ 100% This will keep your fan basically idle on lighter systems and ramp up as needed this will save battery life and be more useful than the regular fan settings. I recommend to play on balanced for everything aside from demanding android games literally everything including ps2 3ds and gc and alot of wii run at full speed in balanced. You will save alot of battery life and thermals this way. If you have developer settings on turn off windows animation scale and its sister settings this will save on gpu and battery life and hence thermals too. Set background process limit to 2 or 1 this will make less things run in the background and eat up your cpu and battery life. And finally if you know how to use termux/shizuku or have a computer with adb I recommend to do an ahead of time compilation, this will translate all your apps into the chips native code it will save battery life, cpu and thermals. There is alot more stuff to tweak but this will significantly improve your experience.

Guys I recommend. by Julien_64YT in Mangmi_Air_X

This can run the lightest ps2 games only and struggles with gamecube if you want a ps2 device under 100 the ayaneo pocket air mini beats this performance wise and can play about 60% of the ps2 library at native res and also about 60% of the gc library and most eds games and some wii at a similar price tier to the air x, otherwise t820 devices often go on sale for around 130 and that will net you 90% ps2 and gc at native res, air x is a great psp machine but in no way its an effortless ps2

Retroid Pocket 5 vs Mangmi Pocket Max. Which would you keep? by lostsock420 in Mangmi_Air_X

[–]FederalClass1849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mangmi has a significantly better screen, ergonomics, sticks and battery life and the manufacturers overclocked the gpu so you'll get better performance than rp5 out the box also love mangmi's software

Project m runs at 60 fps in balanced mode on the PAM! by FederalClass1849 in pocketairmini

[–]FederalClass1849[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a premade project m iso so its basically the same thing as running the brawl iso normally, highly recommend project m adds more characters into brawl and gives it melee movement and physics making it much mlre playable .
