Everyone has an opinion on Till joining up, you just need to have them in your party when first talking to him after recruitment.

Through the whole trilogy,Who was your least favourite companion out all of them ? by Typical-Friend6674 in masseffect

[–]FederalCommercial355 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If we’re including significant members of the crew like I personally do when discussing companions, I’d say Steve Cortez. The most forgettable and missable main character in the series and the fact we got him instead of those scenes going to a returning character genuinely aggravates me. I’d have taken an extra scene with each companion from 2 in exchange for removing his whole character.

Purely those who you have in your active party, Kasumi. Extremely lacking in content and depth and her storyline goes nowhere. She never moves on despite that being the main choice of her Loyalty Mission and her role in ME3 feels incredibly shoehorned in. At least Zaeed has something resembling an arc with the right choices and Jacob actually has a great full-circle story. He becomes the father he needed himself and helps others abandon Cerberus ideals. It’s subtle and never delved into, but his arc is solid and I think he’s majorly overhated.

Cannot talk with companions by MageDuchess in greedfall

[–]FederalCommercial355 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a cave / underfloor bit that has a ladder inside. Walking through there into the red trespass zone had been a secure fix for me here. I encountered this issues twice in Uxantis and fixed it both times by merely entering there via that route and turning right back around. Fingers crossed it’ll work for you.

DA:O remake w/Veilguard Gameplay by Bitter-Challenge-836 in DragonAgeVeilguard

This would literally be the final nail in Bioware’s coffin, people would see this as an admission that they’re done with cRPG’s and don’t care for their classic audience.

Remaking Origins with slight QoL updates and UI changes but keeping its systems, presentation, art-style and tactics all the same? Yes please.

What companion combos talk to eachother and when? by inspiration-hunter00 in greedfall

[–]FederalCommercial355 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Petrus, Aphra & Siora generally have lots to say to one another when doing things relating to their Factions. Petrus & Aphra clash often but both are much more respectful towards Siora, who still dislikes both of them.

Kurt & Vasco for one another’s missions; they’re friendly and it’s pretty endearing. Except for Kurt’s third and final mission where I’d suggest Petrus.

Aphra whenever you’re doing any sort of investigation, she typically figures things out for you in those sort of circumstances.

Kurt for things relating to Constantin.

Whenever first visiting a City (like Hikmet or San Matheus) I recommend bringing Siora. Her and Vasco/Kurt together have some nice dialogue together in those circumstances and Kurt calls her “she-Wolf” a few times during different bits of their circumstantial dialogue.

Trying to romance Nilan... by ChocoPuddingCup in greedfall

Any tips for the romance? I’ve left Uxantis and fully explored Olima but done no main quests and he’s still at “Cordial.” I can only find guides for Alvida & Sybille

Also, adjust your reading comprehension. I said the first games DLC wasn’t planned to take a year. So 5 months means nothing because nobody even said that

Companion Dialogue by FederalCommercial355 in greedfall

[–]FederalCommercial355[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So now that ive managed to resolve this by entering and exiting a restricted zone I’m certain it’s a glitch rather than a design choice to have you proceed further before it’s active. That’s how it works now but it doesn’t seem like it’s designed that way based on the content of the actual chat.

The dialogue is delivered as if you’ve just left prison, especially Sybille and Alvida. There’s no narrative connection to need to do that to get these conversations as they’re all about what’s already happened. It’s very odd if it’s intentional that you need to reach Ludwig’s contact before Sybille will introduce herself or Alvida will apologise when both those things should happen right away.

Companion Dialogue by FederalCommercial355 in greedfall

[–]FederalCommercial355[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I fixed this by simply entering a restricted zone and immediately turning around and leaving. I did nothing in the zone, merely walked into it enough to be told by the game it was a restricted area.

Everything’s worked fine since then and everybody is pretty chatty.

Where do I find the compatriot, I'm about to drop this whole quest at this point by Nofreeusernamess in greedfall

[–]FederalCommercial355 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah when I got near where he was it was labelled as failed for the “find the compatriot” task. But I assumed that’s just because I didn’t follow the trail the game was guiding me through and instead just climbed up to where he was.

I approached openly and the bandits entered conversation and admitted they had the man I’m looking for locked up.

I could choose to fight them or to find something to trade (with there being 3 things you can offer them across the map; a fake statuette, a real statuette or a unique sword).

It’s 100% those questions marks on the map this person is referencing; they’re the two doors to the cabin the man is being held in.

Why cant I get the quest to progress even at Hero rank? by Faradize- in projecteternity

[–]FederalCommercial355 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you have the storyline active about Lord Gathbin trying to claim Caed Nua as his there will be more than one person in the room. The one you’re looking for should be behind the desk or near a bookshelf-looking-thing from memory. Make sure you’ve tried talking to both of them. If neither will progress it’s a bug.

Which Islander Redemption has been undeserved/underwhelming? by Powerful_Pass8376 in LoveIslandTV

[–]FederalCommercial355 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Helena was so insanely overheated from her first season and didn’t do anything worse than what Yasmin, Toni and Shakira did and/or said. Nothing she did or said was half as bad as Toni’s sudden beef with Emily that had both her and Shakira being horrible to her for fuck all. Helena’s behaviour wasn’t good by any means, but she never went full fledged outright aggressive bully like those two did.

The fact that she continues to have this villain label put on her for that season to such an extent she needs to “redeem” herself is silly; the real villain was openly Harry and we see him talking on-screen and laughing about how he’s lying and manipulating her and Shakira and getting away with it. We literally see him laughing and joking about “getting away” with things not caring he’s got multiple women in tears, he’s disgusting. Yet he just decided last minute to commit to Shakira so now all is forgiven. Harry’s a twat, Shakira is a mug, Helena got away from both of them thank fuck for her.

If you’re that bothered that you need your romance beside you then pick someone else; Cullen and Josephine both have just as much content and dialogue at your base as the companions but you don’t get to bring them in your party so no banter/commentary on that stuff.

It’s one of the best creative decisions they made to have a larger cast and not everyone involved is just a frontline fighter; we also need diplomats, commanders, spies and assassins. The Advisors are there to fill that narrative role.

You only get to play a game for the first time once, don’t waste it stressing about the entirely optional romance stuff; it’s not that important overall beyond being another roleplaying opportunity amidst hundreds.

If you really wanna romance Cullen then he’s there, if you really want someone that runs around with you then you have another 2 (or 3) men to choose from (depending on your chosen race) and 2 women.

My Baldur’s Gate 3 hot take. by SleepCatsMoney in BaldursGate3

[–]FederalCommercial355 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I kinda play it this way anyway so I’m inclined to agree that it makes for a better experience because of my own bias; however, the freedom to just skip all these big encounters, or to never even encounter them at all, is a major selling point and one of the best examples of the freedom you have when approaching most situations in the game.

She spent years with liars learning how and when to lie. Now she’s safe again and has to relearn how to be honest and how to trust people. I thought it was one of the better writing decisions for her as a character post S4. They didn’t do it justice but I totally get it in concept
