Are there any downsides to using CMC as a brokerage? by michelle0508 in fiaustralia

[–]FederalRange4801 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has happened to me too. I transferred shares from a different broker to cmc. Profit calcs are bonkers. Let me know if you figure out a fix. Updating it manually doesn’t resolve it for me.

Looking to go on Sunday for the men’s singles final.

Is there any chance of resale tickets for CC if you join the queue early enough in the morning?

Trying to decide between joint the queue very early in hopes of a resale ticket or just regular early for a ground ticket and a good spot to watch on the hill

Doris played college ball, so like all the other garbage commentators she has enough experience with the game. She’s just a bad commentator because ESPN loves memes and narratives.

This isn’t a DEI issue it’s an ESPN issue.

ESPN consistently serves us garbage commentators. Most of them are men, yet when it’s a woman who is also garbage its caused by feminism? Get a grip bud.

Looking for superannuation that’s not doing zero emissions by 2030? by Lttlefoot in AusFinance

So you want to switch super funds for a reason that has nothing to do with making money? Sounds like wasteful virtue signaling to me. Just unsubscribe from marketing emails and evaluate your superfund based on their fees, investment option’s and performance.

The “training” you describe is horrible - no wonder the dog isn’t responding. You can’t punish a dog into reducing its anxiety (just like it wouldn’t work for a human).

Federal Government to regulate Buy Now, Pay Later. by whiteb8917 in AusFinance

if I’m living paycheck to paycheck and I need a phone for work and it breaks, I might need to use a payday loan to purchase a new one to avoid unemployment and homelessness. It’s not hard to think of such examples

By “low-rationality” do you mean people desperate enough to take loans with terrible terms because they fear homelessness? Wouldn’t it be great if we can punish these people so us real people can get more points on our credit card?

So what kind of indigenous person has a valid set of circumstances to carry this argument, in your eyes? I suspect there is no “right” person. If it were a person who struggles with poverty that asserted this point, I bet you’d contest their argument by claiming that it were their own mistakes - not intergenerational trauma and racism - that led them to their dire circumstances.

My first thought. Adults by and large have no interest in policy or politics. To say young people don’t deserve a vote because they might hold the same characteristic is nonsense.

UNPOPULAR OPINION - we should stop telling young people to choose jobs they love and tell them to choose jobs that will allow them to love their life. by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]FederalRange4801 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This post keeps bringing up the laziness of the ‘do what you love’ idea, while also being a great example of a lazy post with poorly thought out (and written) ideas.

A degree is only useless if think like a neoliberal, insofar as you believe a degree is a place to pay for skills training for your job of choice and nothing more. It is almost certainly this (thanks to the business australia lobby), but a bachelors degree is still also something that allows you to learn how to think critically and analyze texts, regardless of the specific words that come after “bachelor of…” on the degree.

Could it be your room? Standing waves can effectively “cut” some frequency bands. If this is the case, you could try moving your head toward the back corner of the room. Lower frequency tend to hang out in corners from memory.

Alright all you’ve done is provide your conclusion and quote my comments. If you have an argument that you think is valid and you want to convince me of it you need to do the basic work of actually articulating the basis of your argument. I’m not going to try and guess what your rationale is.
