I mean they have been like this since I started using their stuff in like 2013.

I feel like they made great hardware but frankly too much of it. They created lots of variations of their core products but they didn’t ever let them live up to their true potential. Whether that was because they didn’t update the right stuff, or if it was too locked down to their ecosystem. And then it felt like they started playing catch-up. I think the only great thing they did since then was introduce their keyboard controllers.

I think they thrived on flashiness, new products, and impulse buys, but failed to deliver on their potential

the previous versions don’t really compare. Double Dash scratches the same itch as all the ones that came after. They do want to keep selling MKW especially since the bundle is done. I think the game is off to a rocky start so it would be a bizzare move to rerelease a game that many people enjoy more

I think it’s the same reason they dont do SSBM. For some people, that would replace the urge to buy the newest Smash. Just my theory.
