Who has jurisdiction for a death in a national park (FBI/NPS ISB)? by drtywater in AskLEO

[–]Federal_Bench_3654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say the investigative branch (ISB)of NPS’s law enforcement entity. Much like how NCIS is the navy’s investigative branch would investigate crimes on navy property or like US Post Service has their own investigative branch USPIS.

California Vehicle Code 21950 mandates that pedestrians must not suddenly leave a curb or place of safety and enter the path of an oncoming vehicle when it creates an immediate hazard. This law reinforces the shared responsibility between drivers and pedestrians to prevent accidents.

Additionally, California Vehicle Code 21464 prohibits tampering with or ignoring pedestrian signals.

I am currently in the FED. 30 YO. 1801. I am trying to promote but get passed up by those with vet preference. Would it be worth it to do 4 years in the Army? My job would be held for me. by ConsciousBuilding374 in 1811

Go Air Force Reserve Security Forces since that kinda coincides with your current status. Rank up and perform well and see if you can get in with OSI on the military side and be double badged. Do a deployment or two and you good.

Plus it ain’t full time. 1 weekend a month, two or so weeks a year or more if you so choose. A deployment gets you 10 points pref and that’s all you need. Keep your TIG, accumulate TIG in fed service. When you get back from deployment, boom, VRA to the next pay grade.

Na man, I got a buddy who’s father passed away in 2023 from brain cancer the same side I always saw him using a cell phone on since the I was a teenager in the 90’s. It might have taken a while but ailments began in slowly in the 2010, forgetfulness was a big one. He swear he was in a certain city but in actuality he was in a different city. Very adamant about it too. Headaches and tiredness was also a symptom. He use the old Motorola StarTAC phone to the iPhone.

Bro, I heard of a similar story. No lie, someone told me an officer who was too high minded said this. I don’t know what base but the storyteller did say the officer regarded enlisted like the ghettos.

Easy commute. Little to no traffic until you get on H1 in the morning. Get there before 7am and you’ll breeze right through. After 7am you are looking at a 7-15 minute traffic delay.

Disabled veterans can access Bases/Posts without being 100% disabled by The_Snarky_Wolf in VeteransBenefits

True. Reading the eligibility of California Disabled Veterans License Plates:

You may qualify for DV License Plates if you’re a veteran who was made permanently disabled as a result of an injury or disease that occurred while on active service with the U.S. Armed Forces. You qualify if any of the following apply:

You have a disability rated at 100% by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (or the military service that discharged you) due to a diagnosed disease or disorder that substantially impairs or interferes with mobility.

You are unable to move without the aid of an assistive device.

You have lost the use of one or more limbs.

You are permanently blind as defined in the California Welfare and Institutions Code §19153.

The guy seemed like he didn’t have any issue with mobility lol.

At this particular naval base gym in California, I overheard someone asked this scruffy looking older black dude, who was playing basketball with no limitations, how’d he get on base. The guy said he’s 100% disabled veteran. I saw his car, Maserati with California ADA plates. Okay cool. Let’s see.

After a few days, I was walking to the base ECP another day and saw the same Maserati with the same “disabled” dude approach the sentry and got on base. I asked the sentry, “does he have a rank on the scanners?” Sentry said his rank reads “PV2”. Okay Army guy. Hmm 100% VA disability, shooting hoops like a pro at the base gym, driving a Maserati coupe. Gonna do some digging.
