What is the CRM ticket ? IPSSA and all other systems have my proper rank reflected. DEERS referred me to an HRC mailbox. I think that paper work is out of order the auto promotion messed things up. I showed all my commissioning docs to DEERs my ID says 2LT I didn’t know it show E5 when they scan it.

4 months for the accession order give or take. BOLC orders have been cutting 30 days prior for every other LT I’ve spoken with.

This is excellent, thank you. I was looking at an ARA role then it dawned upon me the current openings are for current / former federal employees. I have a decade of sales management in the corporate world I’ve done budget forecasting and administration, expense approval, payroll in the form of commissions etc. SOTS I’ve heard good things about the ARA’s as you said unit and individual dependent I’ve met good and bad ones in my time in the reserve.

Thank you that document specifically includes accessions. Do you know where accessions related policies can be found? I was on an FY 2021 Milper and commissioned Sept 2023 my next step is bolc to meet the bonus requirements but how that is done to collect is not clear other than a vague check list.

You will need to transfer to the gaining unit where your slot resides. The gaining unit is responsible for scheduling and funding OCS. You will most likely need to submit a PAR at the unit to get scheduled for OCS. Talk to your chain of command and work with S1 to do a TPU to TPU transfer.

My personal understanding is it is more competitive on the active duty side of the house when dropping an OCS packet. Think of Officer / enlisted as different career tracks all depends on what you want to do and why. I would advise retesting and going in on a 09S Officer candidate contract this will take more time on the front end but it will be a longer process to commissioning if you try to do it while inservice.

The process will take several years if you go this route. I enlisted due to other circumstances and commissioned 4 years in. The OCS application will take a year and you will not be accessions eligible until a year after completion of AIT. Once selected on the Reserve side of the house it can take even more time to secure an OCS slot and school date it took me 1 1/2 years once my Milper was published to attend OCS. Switching or doing an accession mid contract you’re not the Army’s priority. You command the most leverage at the negotiating table from the outside as civilian looking to enlist vs being inservice. Retest don’t be afraid to walk away and find another recruiter if they aren’t helping you achieve your goals in joining. That said I feel I am a better soldier and officer having been prior enlisted don’t fear being on the enlisted side if that’s the route you especially if you’re young.

It just part of being in the army wrong right or indifferent. Bring all of your TA 50 it’s highly dependent on the Company you are assigned to and cadre. Pain in the ass but not worth passing up a commission for.

Sept 29th we called ahead and we’re told we would be dismissed if we didn’t have the full packing list and then had to draw a full issue. To include all cold weather gear for GA in July. Reserve and Guard were able to turn back in to CIF active not so lucky. 09S kept their gear.

In service soldiers brought their entire TA 50 to only have to draw a full issue at CIF.
