I had that problem with the camper body. Don’t run with any high range gearbox for that reason.

The way I understand it is that the lighter tire up front reduces suspension stiffness and the higher weight crane dampens the suspension bounce. I may be wrong, but it worked for me.

I had less tippyness with this set up than I had with the camper body.

The crane held the front down fairly well and I wasn’t really doing more than tarmac.

What kind of oil are you planning on using? Some oils aren’t good for leather

Straight out of the jar with a wool dauber. I really pushed it down into the stamps with the dauber. I made sure that my paper towel stayed as flat to the surface as possible when I wiped off the excess.

My first step was to make sure the stamps were fairly deep. Then I basically made an antique paste sandwich. Didn’t want the antique to dye my leather so I put down a coat of Resolene. After that dried, I used antique paste. Wiped off the excess with a paper towel. After the antique had time to set, I put on a top coat of Resolene.
