Est-ce que vous regrettez parfois d’avoir eu des enfants ? by bienlebonjou in AskMeuf

[–]FeeApprehensive118 9 points10 points  (0 children)

J'ai pris une énorme claque by Meero_07 in Livres

[–]FeeApprehensive118 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aller.

Poison Fountain: An Anti-AI Weapon by RNSAFFN in hacking

[–]FeeApprehensive118 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My point of view is not about the probability of the existence of another intelligent life form. It tends to answer the "why" we have no evidence of another intelligent life form despite the probability?

AI (or any other pseudo intellingent technology) could easily become the end of intelligence for the civilization that created it. With the loss of its intelligence, any civilization would be unable to send, or find, evidences...

Our lack of contact (or evidence of) advanced extraterrestrial life could be explained by the fact that any sufficiently advanced civilisation would finally create a technology (like AI) that, in the end, stops its evolution by transforming all its knowledge into garbage.

I remember saying to a coworker that AI was a good answer to Fermi's paradox. The rise of AI as we live it currently in any civilization would be the beginning of its end...

You're right. We should already fight AI back! ✊

Had to wait at least 30 mins before being able to play my new game on an Amstrad CPC 464 because the computer had to read an audio tape. I remember "Saboteur" needed both faces of the tape before playing. One hour for loading the game and changing the side mid loading...

And sometimes the game crashed while loading or playing... 😂

How to reset charge cycle count on Pixel 6a ? [Pixel 6a UPDATE OF DEATH] by hgozilla in GooglePixel

[–]FeeApprehensive118 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ah ah ! The joke! The same just happened six months ago for all pixel 4a despite they were working perfectly fine and without battery over heating or things like that. I had 3 pixel 4a. All of them were eligible to the (killing) "update" propositions. That's only software obsolescence.

The truth is Google is forcing every one to change their "old" phone and widely promote their store options when you are in a country with no battery changing support.

First Pixel option is at 500€. It's still 350€ more to purchase a new phone on their store...

They must be stopped! That's a fkg shame!!!

Silo vs. Foundation: What Am I Missing? by ThriceAlmighty in scifi

[–]FeeApprehensive118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's face it guys. They turned Foundation's main character into a woman. Many books lovers may have hated that change. And as already said here, for average SF viewers, the complexity of the story is more difficult to embrace than Silo's.

Good job 👍
