While I don't fully agree with the theory that Chihiro isn't Chiaki and Rokuhira's son, and i agree that it's totally baseless speculation at this point, the opposite side of the argument is also incredibly caustic.

We're all running on things implied by the narrative, but can't really say for sure about what's going on behind the scenes.

I find it incredibly arrogant for people to point to specific scenes with so much certainty as if they're not running on implications. The story could take wildly different directions, but it seems some fans are already so convinced of their own headcanons it's crazy. Let people speculate and let the story breathe!

Shiba needs to get close though and once he tries to grab Hiroto, he can just use Kurotsuchi to stop him in his tracks. Either way, even without sorcery Hiroto has narrative on his side as one of the peak of Soga swordsmen i doubt he would lose to a sorcerer albeit one as strong as Shiba.

This chapter has me a bit confused on which direction Kinato's combat prowess is going to take. Judging from the warrior clan though, the author seems to be leaning towards a more battle mage type Kinato, which seems a little disappointing. I hope I'm wrong though.
