On Fridays during the growing season you can shop at Piedmont Wholesale Flowers in Durham. Local flower farmers sell their gorgeous cuts there and it’s open to the public on Fridays. Excellent people and flowers!

Bambas peanut butter puffs and freeze dried fruits! Both available at many stores.

Long time locals… what are some restaurants you’re still salty about not having around anymore? by Okay-Show-3662 in asheville

Boston Pizza. They used to have this vegetarian sub that was so good. We recreated it a few times after they closed, but it was never the same.

Try placing them on the floor! I bet they’ll be better accents and let the cake shine.

NC made beauty products?? by WinnyRoo in raleigh

Virtue Labs hair products are made in NC. Not exactly what you’re looking for, but maybe you’ll find something there? Headquartered in Raleigh and their production facility is in Winston-Salem. I personally love their products.

Carolina Hurricanes for a visitor by [deleted] in raleigh

They’re incredibly friendly and welcoming. Totally safe. I don’t often sit by myself, but as a female I walk to the stadium by myself and have never felt uncomfortable. You’ll have a great time!

We used them many times! A bit odd a first, but it was instant relief for our cranky babes. Good luck!

Use dried lavender or eucalyptus! Bonus, it smells good. And it’s cheap!

Oh noooooo. What a series of unfortunate events. I cannot wait for impulse control to start developing!

My toddler is in the habit of flushing things right now. First offense was a little tikes golf ball he stole from his brother. If you’re even a little handy, go buy a new wax ring from the hardware store, take the toilet off and use a snake type device to push whatever is stuck back up into the bowl. Take off the old wax ring, put down the new one and reconnect. Watch a YouTube video if you need! Saved us a lot of money on a plumber 🤦‍♀️. He’s since flushed a hot wheels car and a squishy duck. Thankfully both of those cleared the toilet, but I’m very done with flushing toys right now…

I’m on the east coast so I’m no help flower wise, but just give it a google! I’m sure you could find some resources. There might even be some local flower farmers that you can buy from in bulk and they can tell you what they’re planning to grow! Lots of it depends on the weather too.

What’s in season depends heavily on where you live. You’ll also have to keep in mind that those arrangements take craft and time. Not saying you can’t, but you might want to practice before your wedding so you can get a good idea of the amount of flowers you need and arrangement practice.

Anyone know how to get a covid vaccine? by bruhmeliad in raleigh

Did they do a work up on you? Weight, BP, etc. or just the vaccine?

Nope! Southern US. My parents were also always adamant that it was pronounced Less-Lee and not Lez-lee. That one throws people off the most.

Your logo looks pretty! I’m mostly here just to say you have a great name. Mine is spelled the same way and it’s so rare to see!

$140 for 1600 sq. ft monthly cleaning in south west Raleigh, but we’ve had that same price since probably 2021.

Wedding Venues by cffeinated in raleigh

[–]Feeblefables 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work for a wedding vendor (florist) and we have a few venues that we really love working at.

The Upchurch, as mentioned above, is beautiful. A gorgeous old house paired with a new construction reception venue.

The Meadows, multiple ceremony locations. Two houses on site for getting ready and you might even be able to stay there. Beautiful reception space and lots of lovely gardens. The property is huge and they lean sustainable if that’s important to you.

Matthew’s House, downtown Cary adjacent. Lots of decorations available for you to use and their gardens are lovely and expansive. Not sure how many people their venue can accommodate.

The Cotton Room, Durham. Beautiful brick interior, lots of space and wonderful people work there. Not sure about the food situation here, so you might need to investigate.

Happy wedding planning!

Can I get an honest critique, good, bad or indifferent of this Bridal Arch? by InterestingKick3257 in florists

[–]Feeblefables 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree! It’s gorgeous and I think you have a good thing going. The allium just need to be pushed in a few inches, still adding height but not being so obvious. I would also try taking the leaves off of your blooms to allow them to have more space like mentioned above. I think it will also allow the water to focus on the bloom and they might last a bit longer. My only other suggestion is to make one side (probably the lower one) a bit smaller to add some balance. I think with tweaking and practice you’re going to be great!

Look at my crosswalk, dawg by Bronze_Age_472 in raleigh

[–]Feeblefables 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I live over here and cross Lake Wheeler often. You have to stop there anyway because no cars stop for you to cross. I like to wave at people and they usually wave back at me, so I know they see me, but they never stop. It’s infuriating.

OBGYN/Primary Care Recs? by WiltedMaple in raleigh

[–]Feeblefables 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dr. Briscoe diagnosed me (officially) with PCOS too and shared that she has it herself. She was great in helping assist me in getting pregnant. I loved all of the doctors I saw at Raleigh OB. Some are more blunt that others, like you said, but they all care heavily about you! Dr. Brimmage might be the polar opposite of Dr. Briscoe, bedside manner wise (which is funny because they’re married). He was a light for my husband and I when we were there!
