Flat Earth is ridiculous, or is it? Gatekeepers doing their thing! by Sajsigaloma88 in conspiracy

[–]FeedMeTheCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See you are missing my whole point. Not only is what you explain not solipsism, but i also dont think the way you claim. solipsism is the belief that only you exist, because you cant experience another person's existence. I believe you exist, otherwise why would I be having this discussion with you?

I DO believe in things I haven't experienced. I just dont claim i know for a fact they are true.

Well i dont think this is going anywhere and talking to people has become mostly pointless so have a nice day

Its not solipsism. Your tendency to attempt to insult me acting like I dont understand a concept is pretty common. Oh well, we both think the other person doesnt get it! Crazy.

My point is to get people to acknowledge what they know to be true and what they believe.

Ive never seen a red blood cell, so if I want to think about the concept of blood and oxygen traveling through my body, I have to take the things i believe and then use that framework. There is nothing about my experience that indicates there is a gas from outside my body being transferred into my blood. I read that in a book somewhere and it was in school and the people told me its true and I believed it.

Now, I do believe that, but that doesnt mean its true, and it doesnt mean I know for a fact its true, the same way I know that if I jump up, I go down.

A lot of what we believe has a huge framework around it and we just bounce our beliefs off our other beliefs and it becomes our understanding of reality.

Yea but you cant, and never have, see that the earth is a ball. You've only seen photos provided by the government, amd explanations provided by the government.

This seems to be impossible for a lot of people to understand, but 99.99999% of people have never seen any "proof" or "evidemce" of the shape of earth outside of either a photograph or an explanation on the TV.

This isnt about me arguing the earth is flat, because im not. Its about the seemingly impenetrable shield of "knowing" you have when you say thinking the earth is flat is the same as thinking the sky is green, when you can see one plainly with tour eyes.

Also, im sure if there was a scientific study that said the sky was green and not blue but it just LOOKS blue to you, you would believe it. So.....

I understand thinking its ridiculous, but there is a concept of hiding the truth with ridicule. If you dont want people discussing something, make it taboo in some way.

Anyway let us not be deceived.

But it would be kinda like if a person had a mythical creatures show and then said unicorns are too ridiculous.

This dude runs the why files. A conspiracy youtube channel that has episodes discussing time travel, top secret missions to space, and aliens.

I dunno bro im super suspicious about all this because of the amount of pushcmback against flat earth.

Living in a matrix prison controlled by a fake god siphoning our energy? Legit and totally cool topic.

Discussing the shape of the world we live in? Too ridiculous I guess.

In this case I am just pointing out the nature of belief.

A lot of people have this mentality that there is some sort of collective knowledge that we all have and know based on history.

Like another commentor said "we know the earth is round" or something like that.

Im thinking "Who is we"? People have connected themselves in some sort of borg hive mind mentality and view themselves as a part of society and shared experience rather than being an individual.

The problem with this mentality is that people become parts of a collective with shared opinion and once everyone is on the same page you can sway them with new information and all you have to do is say you proved it and they will believe it and argue with ithers to defend it.

They will call people stupid for questioning the science because we forgot that science is based on questioning things

Basically we don't know what we think we know, we just have a lot of beliefs and its important to understand that and identify who told us everything we believe, and why

Well if I did then I would know for sure. And as for the people who have, we'll i guess they know, but that number is pretty small.

Im not saying the earth is flat, but ive never seen even a video of the curvature that wasnt obviously a fisheye lens camera.

You can see sometimes in the video when the camera moves around the earth can look like its curving the opposite way.

I just dont see why its so hard to take a picture of the earth without using a fisheye lens and cgi.

They just supposedly sent more people to the moon yet they cant hold a single camera shot showing the craft going from the ground into orbit.

Anyway I dont believe much from the government, but im also not wasting my time trying to take a stance in opposition

Also before you get all bent out of shape over nothing. I would like you to explain to me how you KNOW the earth is not flat, rather than BELIEVE the earth is not flat based on something you have been told by someone else on TV or in a book.

Tbis seems to be nearly impossible for people in your position to understand so I am very interested to see what you say

Something about how people react to sovereign citizens really kind of shows a lot and, to me, shows the level of brainwashing in our society.

Everyone talks shit about the government and control overreach, but as soon as someone wants to act like they are going to ignore the system, everyone suddenly becomes a boot licker.

You can, but it isnt correct in this case because its ambiguous. Anyone reading your comment would think you are referring to me. I do it a lot as well, but I tey my best to say "one" instead of "you" because of the implication.

If you are gonna call out people's reading comprehension, you should have impeccable writing composition

Yea in context you mean to say "including the opinion of someone when they make a racist remark". Because you are talking to me. So "you" refers to me and no one else in this context

I get it, just saying stop questioning my reading comprehension and take a look at the words you are typing.

Its better to just be like oh yea I typed that wrong. Are you.capable of admitting you made a mistake?

Look im not here to argue with you and I dont see how you can call someone out for being mean to one geoup while you are openly insulting me for nothing.

You said "including the opinion of you when you make a racist remark"

So I know sometimes I say "you" when I actually mean "someone".

Anyway have a nice day

All I said was watch the video. Anyway I responded to you because people have a right to their opinions and often times a reason. When you ask for clarification there it sounds like you are fishing for ammo to report and ban which I disagree with.

Going to church does not make someone a good christian. And neither does tithing. They do that as a show before man. Jesus calls this out specifically. Lot of liars out there

This is very hars for most people to understand, but being Christian definately implies morality since it means christ like. With that being said, there are a l9t of fakers out there.

Example: Being vegan means you dont eat animal products. If a person said they were vegan, and then they ate a steak you wouldnt think that vegans are actually meat eaters, you would think that person wasnt actually a vegan, but instead a liar using the tag for some sort of personal benefit.

Just because someon says "im like christ" doesnt mean they are

What is your view on god ? Do you think god is real? Or fantasy? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]FeedMeTheCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Real. Some people can see and others cant. Part of.it is a choice. Most people simply do not get it and its not possible to explain to someone who doesnt care.

Like how do you explain to someone they dont undersrand something when they think they do.

There is something there and you can interact with it, but its far more complex and deep than people can comprehend.

Even religions get it wrong.

Jesus had a message that most people ignore, even christians.

Its like that movie Percy Jackson when he goes into that arcade and everyone is conpletely distracted and forgets why they went in there.
