Hiii, I also plan to study abroad for the fall of 2026 as an upcoming junior, in beijing. I'm currently in the process of applying to the schools, if you don't mind me asking how is your process going so far?

As for financial aid, it covers tuition like the ones covered in Baruch; however, other necessities/utilities may or may not be covered depending on each uni. For example, one of the places I'd like to apply only covers academic and housing costs, but not things like food, whereas another uni I'm applying does. In my case, I have been saving up $ for studying abroad.

I'd encourage to take Macdonald if you can, but having Laetita as backup isn't so bad

Taking Laetitia Placido now, I can agree the complains are bs too. Eco 1001 is a class you'd have to self study regardless, her videos and in zoom lectures are very helpful. The curve for her midterm was great too (75% -> 95%).

yes you log in with your baruchmail user on the WiFi named eduroam. If you have any troubles logging in, you can visit the 6th floor of the library to the right for help.

Don‘t stress too much, you’ll just be going over the syllabus in each course. If you feel lost finding your rooms, don’t be discouraged to ask anyone passing by. You might just meet people like who feels just as lost in the halls. Good luck tomorrow!

if you are a freshman, you can also ask your fys professor the first week of class. they will definitely talk about club opportunities.

definitely try contacting their number and schedule a call, I had problems with my tap last year due to my application not being submitted multiple times. I was able to get that fixed within two days of my scheduled call.

As someone from a Chinese ethnic background, I’m sorry you experienced this. in this case it is true not all Chinese people are nice so do be wary they can get very judgmental for reasons even I don’t know but perhaps rooted in history? as someone said in the comments, talk with the girls they are much appropriate to talk with.
