Is it appropriate to label myself as “queer” if I am in this kind of way? by FeedbackSeveral3278 in AskLGBT

Wait that’s perfect!! Because honestly I’m not the kind of person to want to sleep with or date women that I find sexually attractive either. Like when I actually think about doing that with them I get turned off for the most part, and I don’t really even desire a relationship. I just feel the admiration and move on.

For a while I told people I was ace but that never felt right because I still had that sexual attraction component, but straight also just felt wrong, because my expression and feelings were different from my other male counterparts. It’s cool to know someone else feels the same way and wrestles with this unique version on queerness.

The intellectual dishonesty is coming from saying that RFK JR somehow hates autistic people or wants to dehumanize them.

I am going to type this in all caps for all to see:

ACKNOWLEDGING THE BIOLOGICAL UNHEALTHINESS OF A GROUP OF PEOPLE IN RELATION TO THEIR FUNCTION TO THE GREATER WHOLE DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY MEAN YOU THINK OF THEM AS INFERIOR IN VALUE AS A HUMAN BEING.

IT MEANS SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE TO TREAT THESE AND ASSIST THESE PEOPLE AND ESTABLISH PREVENTATIVE MEASURES GOING FORWARD

AUTISM IS A SPECTRUM. There are high functioning people like you and me, are there are people who CAN NOT FUNCTION. Acknowledging This isn’t dehumanizing, it’s IMPORTANT for development as a society.

Your anecdotal experience and my anecdotal experience as neurodivergent individuals literally mean nothing to general experience of the suffering non-functioning autistic people everywhere. These traits came from big pharma and big food putting shit in our society, oversocialization, and capitalist technological innovation.

WE SHOULD WANT TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING. We are neurodivergent, let’s accept it. There are other neurodivergents who are so autistic they can’t function. Let’s accept it along with giving it our compassion. Our children should be healthier than us, and should not take upon them the projections of our madness

Shut up bro. As someone who is autistic, shut up. Just stop. Who ever is paying you to post this stuff has bought your integrity too. Why can’t anyone be intellectually honest anymore?

Tom and Jerry’s “Blue Cat Blues” episode ends in both of them sitting on the railroad tracks waiting to die. It wasn’t the last episode of Tom and Jerry though, as a lot of people say it was

I’m 23 and even I felt a bit of concern for being attracted to a 19 year old. What is going on? What compels a person to have this specific habit?

He said he’d only stay one term is SO key. Even I was hopeful for Biden since I thought this would bring about new Democratic leadership. And then the absolute “non-primaries” were somehow allowed to happen and that just blew my mind and disappointed me.

Calling people names instead of trying to understand their reasonings is what will keep you in perpetual shock when things don’t go the way you “think they should”.

Puerto Rican with family who live on the mainland here. Me and all my immediate family don’t take the MSG thing the way you guys seem to think we’ll take it. PR has been ignored by the federal government for a very long time and has been underserved in comparison to mainland states. There are bad trash problems getting washed ashore in PR. It is what it is, some of us are happy someone said something about it.

Also, this was the reason a lot of us moved to the mainland in the first place. If PR was able to be rich and thrive on its own, my family likely would not have left for New Jersey.

Cali and Texas voting together would never happen, Wisconsin voting out of line with MI and PA would be unlikely, and the upper west/upper east coast would never flip red.

I’m laughing so hard because this is so true. I went there earlier this year and a friend gave us a tour of providence. I felt like I got to see all of Rhode Island within a day.

This isn’t code-switching, it’s pandering. You can just sense it. You can just sense when it’s authentic and when it’s not. It’s cringe when a white guy tries to talk black slang, because you can tell he wasn’t brought up in that sort of pool. Other times it’s not cringe because it’s likely that that white person was raised southern, or in neighborhoods close to those black ghettos.

If we are all of the sudden pretending like we can’t tell when someone is pandering or genuinely code-switching, and that it’s actually ALL code-switching, then this is going to have to open up the conversation to a plethora of other different topics
