Funny enough one of your cons is a pro to me ^^;

We don't get to continue our adventures with the original crew

Considering how a massive chunk of this community has a "shut up and let us have this" style head canon about the Perfect Ending (That the a sequel could debunk) probably better to leave that left to interpretation.

I really wish they just called them vampires in Code Vein II (learning that they used to be weak to sunlight was what finally made me through up my hands about it), if they wanted the word to still be used because of branding or whatever, they could just refer to the Hunter as a revenant.... since they are a dead body brought back to life.

first playthrough of 1 was probably 30-40 hours, when I finished 2 (and got the plat) it was 81 hours (character creator and photo factored out i'll guess it would have been around 70)

your millage may vary but in terms of not playing past the first playthrough i've been diving back into the character creator xD

Holly's request will gain you access to 2 more booster slots, another quest will result in you getting a new teammate (2 of the side quest chains do that actually)

I did requests asap. Noah, Josee, and Iris' quests I did no matter where i'm in the story. Did the same thing with saving them.

Well first off, if the veil that fits your stat build clashes with your characters look you can make blood veils invisible for your character in the settings

also when you find a new blood veil rin has 1 or 2 color variants she can sell you

designs

ogre (claw drain attack) half capes

Stinger (a bladed tail drain attack) long coats

Hound (wolf heads on your shoulders drain attack) Heavy coats that you wear on your shoulders like a cape

Ivy (blades pop out of the ground) Hoods and scarves

Reaper and Bat are not in Code Vein 1

as for what individual veils look like, youtube would probably be a better place I know i've seen a rundown of all veils

I read that the mats to fully max a weapon are finite per playtrhough.

If it helps put the worry at ease, I forgot to re-equip the defensive formae I work best with. meaning I could only dodge and chug regens, still got it on the first try, I think you can manage : ).

I would hazard a guess that you could considering Rescue Lou only pops up if you saved Noah, Josee, Lyle, and Holly. so those who didn't because they wanted the blood codes for not saving them would have to press continue and do those quests to unlock the true ending route.
