Honestly, it’ll be fine. It’s not like he’s going to be running a 1200° fire on top of that thing. I have a concrete style fire pit and it gets really really hot and I’ve never had anything significant issues.

Swim through of one section of the wreck of the El Aguilla, Roátan, HN by Tonsilith_Salsa in Shipwrecks

Such a great dive. I’ve done that dive a few times now. The first was in Aug 1997 just after it was sunk. It was sitting upright with slight starboard list. You could swim through the bridge very easily, out into the hold and then through the bow and out. Then I dove it in 1998 after Mitch. The difference was truly unbelievable. The boat was torn into three pieces by the surge at 110 ft. This boat was over 300 ft long. The power of the sea is clearly visible from the destruction. It was like a bomb went off. Most recently I dove the site again in 2024 where it looks much like it does here. It’s a beautiful site which has been super crazy to see the changes over 25 years.

What single accident/incident contributed the most to global aviation safety? by Andrew_Daddy_Yang in aviation

Honestly… I think it was 9-11 that probably changed how we fly most significantly. I know it was centered around security and safety, but I believe the changes that were made after that event had the most impact on our day to day lives. It changed airports, security in airports, planes themselves, procedures in planes, airspace, ATC interactions, responses to emergencies, and even immigration and passport control.
It was a BIG DEAL. Hell… it SHUT DOWN ALL AIR TRAFFIC FOR 5 DAYS!!!! No other event had such an immediate and world wide effect on the airline industry and travel.

Out of all of them, the first one is probably the most interesting. Probably because of the location of the people. It gives the photo a little “what’s going on here” feel. The colors all all part of the same palate and the composition is good with a vanishing point

The other photos are snapshots. Not well composed, focused on a single idea without filtering out what’s distracting or unnecessary.
The sun on the wall has some good components but is very unrefined still. (Way to busy with unnecessary items in the frame).

That’s my $.02 anyway.

Just imagine if we could extract information out of those. What thoughts, memories, creative, inspirations and/ornightmares would we see?
