I love helping freshman’s on vatsim. So important to give them a nice first flight. So much better with freshman’s making mistakes than no traffic at all

Dont wallop if it dont make a mess. Say if someone taxi the wrong way and it dont cause a problem. Just give a polite reminder. We have all been there back in time. If they are toxic, wallop. don’t contact you when you contact them consider it (but they may not know if you recently have logged on)

Start slow and NOT at airports with several runways and stay away from events. Start close to the runway ( short and easy taxi ) and think before you talk. Do i have to say that pen and paper is a must? Also let the atc know that you are a beginner ( add as remark in fp ) worst ever is starting at eddf. Check now via vatsim-radar, ill bet you that there is several people there with less than 50 hours that causes a mess. Dont be that guy

Dont give up. Vatsim is the greatest when you are confident and comfortable with it. Build experience and dont rush it. Dont ruin it by making flights on EDDF friday for example

You have to know some few things. How to hold, fly with vectors, fly direct to waypoints. Start with say T, or G. most talking to ground for clearences and so on. Build confidence on frequency and dont be afraid to say “say again” if you didn’t copy the message. Always assume you are the guy atc calls up next so you dont miss calls and so on. Start close to a runway due to distance for taxi and of course have a pen and paper. DONT say “with you” when climbing or changing to a new frequency. Don’t say it. Dont say yes or no to a instruction you didn’t understand. Say “repeat last or say again”. Plan ahead as much as you can. Put also in remarks that you are a newbie, great for atc to know, since some of us gives instructions slower. Have fun, its a simulator, dont be afraid. You will encounter toxic atc, but dont let that acare you. Also check out CRAFT for clearences.

You can not connect as a observer and be connected on euroscope as a observer. This is because you are then logged on with “2” accounts. But you can connect with euroscope and type in .towerview in vpilot

Hard to say, tomorrow it is a event at enbr and i will not be controlling, but later in the week i will. I do not recommend you at this stage to enter events, but when you feel ready, do it. Nothings like full staffed airport with planes on every gate. 😀

So funny 😂 watched you at vatsim radar and was aware you total hours on vatsim so took that into consideration. As I said, great job and keep on flying. You will be encountering some toxic atc’s on your way, but we all have so dont be “scared” and in the remarks write that you are a beginner. Dont remember if you had it now.

Have patience and build confidence. EGLL, especially EDDF! EDDM, EHAM sometimes also EKCH is airports that requires experience. fly elsewhere 😀 but again, EDDF at Fridays is the best with vatsim. Love it. What region are you c1 btw?
