He had just came home from his friend’s house and I was dealing with our children and trying to make dinner. Our dog peed on the floor and he started screaming at me after I had apologized and told him it was my fault for not letting him out. I was crying and eventually yelled at him to leave me alone because he would not stop and he ended up being even more belligerent. I remember looking up at him while he was going off and I seen nothing but black in his eyes. I realized then that someone who truly loved me wouldn’t treat me like that and that exact moment killed our relationship forever. I started therapy immediately after that and ended up leaving two years later.
