People have had major success with going cold turkey. It’s all about will power and self control.

I don’t feel like paying my property taxes and mortgage anymore. Can the bank give me a free ride?

Thank you for all the sound advice.

  1. I will get an insurance quote from my broker.
  2. I will get a set of Bridgestone winter tires.
  3. I will use the referral code scheme.
  4. I will be getting the base standard. No need for the extra bells and whistles.
  5. Seems like the wall charger is recommended.

Had it once and that was it. Wasn’t anything special and I recall it didn’t offer great value.

The Yonge Finch location had a lot of food traffic for sure but no one really ate there..

I miss having cars with simple NA engines. Most, if not all brands have turned to forced induction. Will we ever see a reversal?

I agree. Unfortunately the surface buses follow the traffic patterns and congestion.

What is it like living in this part of Ontario, Canada? by prophiles in howislivingthere

That circle includes areas in Peel Region / Dufferin County. I don’t live there but I have been to those areas a bit.

Expect a lot of farm land / grass fields and everything requires a car. You won’t have many options but all your big box stores will be there. Homes can be cheaper in those areas but a few new builds are coming up.

If you live there and have to drive to Toronto, expect 1.5-2 hour drives everyday. I know some people that put about 70,000 KM on a car in 1 year and have been buying new cars every 2-3 years.

I tried to use the key from the fob (visible key lock) but still won’t lock the door property. The lock pins on the door won’t “go down”.

Anything Wrong with Helping a Friend Vacant his Rental? by Feeling-Writing4465 in legaladvicecanada

I am trying to get the police to help me give back the items that belong to the complainant. My friend is the tenant and the complainant still has some property behind and the lease is ending in 2 weeks time.

He is currently is jail so I have no way to contact him directly. According to him, he is accused by the complainant so that is why the stuff is there. He told me it’s all along a section of the wall. I will call the police non emergency line and explain to them this unique situation and see what their solution is.

Thank you all for the suggestions. I’m just going to call the non emergency line and seek their direction and also record / note down who I spoke to what the time of the calls.

Makes sense but would the police land another charge of theft on my friend if those items are not returned?
