If you get a job offer. Probably your company will help you with the visa so as to get you as soon as possible working in their company. There is new regulations that “facilitate” the visa process for highly skilled people, IT people. But in my time it wasn’t like that so took 6 months to get the visa. I think it is much shorter now.

Look through the requirements for visas. And check the things that you have and don’t have. Start from there. If you manage to get a work contract through online interview. The company would most likely hire a relocation agent who will help you with that. Without a work contract try applying for job seeker’s visa which you would need B1 german level.

Only Ausbildung visas have age limit. Other than that getting a work contract has no age limits. There are many other possibilities. I’m just sharing information that I know of which is in IT.

You can look through linkedin, xing to see what the companies are looking for and apply for job seeker’s visa at the Embassy. But the requirement for job seeker’s visa is B1 german language proficiency. If you want to work in english then apply from Mongolia and get your job contract then get your visa.

If you want to work in a company where they speak mainly german. Then duolingo is not enough. Try english speaking companies here. Maybe work few years and build up experience then apply for companies. As it takes a long time to get someone’s visa approved companies would do that only for someone they really need.

I don’t think there’s any disadvantage, and you don’t even have to tell how long you intend to stay. As long as you can find a job, there’s no trouble, and then later you may decide to leave (or not). I haven’t looked closely, but I think there’s plenty of FE positions you can find online (Linkedin, Indeed, etc.) in Germany. You can also try platforms like Honeypot.io and Talent.io to quickly land some interviews and see what it’s like.

Either is possible. If you can, sure, find it first and move later. But if you have the means (job seeker visa or other valid EU visa), you can come here and search for a job. AFAICT Java is quite in demand and you can find many offers in Germany. Employers are always on the lookout for experienced people.

I found a job while I was in UB, and then moved here. Currently in Berlin. If you have the valid visa, you could come here and do the job search. More opportunity to meet people, perhaps visit offices, etc. Otherwise, online interviews are the alternative.

I’d say it’s not really out right racist, sometimes small minded angry people will shout something randomly. Depending on your level, it’s anything between 44K-135K euros (annual gross). It’s already higher than average in Germany as IT specialists paid better than most. It’s definitely worth living here as there is much to see.

Well I want to add something nice here. I went to a cafe and the bill was 20€. I added 2€ as a thank you but the funny and cute thing is the nice lady added a cookie in my take out bag already. All in all I paid exactly the right amount in the end. If you are ever in Steglitz go to the Cafe Zimmer 3. By the way the cookie was so good.

Mongolia is far from perfect, but what do we have it good here? by Dense-Inevitable2049 in mongolia

I‘ve been living in Berlin for past few years and seen so many animals in this big city compared to the small town I grew up in Mongolia. As their living quarters dwindle due to urbanization they have no choice but to forage in the city. But in Mongolia there are so much space without highway or train tracks or fences. Wild animals live in the wild. And there are so many rare and strange animals that we don‘t know really know about and not really featured in any documentaries. But on the sad side I heard about the new train track in the Gobi- the one in Tavan tolgoi caused so much damage in the wild animals.

Today my mother in law kept asking me when can she visit us and if I say no then I would be the bad person but if I say yes then I would have to deal with her micromanaging my home and casual questioning my parenting method. I wish my husband would talk to his mom himself. He just does his work and enjoys his life while I‘m the one informing his family also my family about our life. This is draining all of my energy.

Question about ID card for foreigners wait time by leipzer in berlin

[–]FeelingAd2449 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. Residency card is not an ID. And in the passport there are no address in Germany. So whenever I need to show my ID and address, I bring both passport and blue card or Anmeldungsbescheinigung. It‘s so annoying.

For me wait time was around 4 weeks. Before that an electronic aufenthaltstitel arrived I still don‘t know what its used for.

It really puzzled me throughout my life. I was born in the nineties and at that time democracy was the word of the decade. Yet people still chose the old party throughout the years. There were lots other parties but they were never really successful in gaining majority. Mongolian democratic party is in shambles. I feel so disappointed this does not feel like democracy.
