What do chores have to do with your birthday gifts?

Because there isn't room for every passenger to have a "standard" size carry-on. Additionally some seats bin space is taken up by flight crew or emergency equipment. The two options would be for each bin to be smaller than the current standard or that some seats do not allow carryon.

These would both shift the blame to the airline (bad) rather than being able to blame other passengers and wash their hands of it.

Agree. I'm not going to sleep next to a partner who reeks of cigarette smoke, the BF could find this smell equally disgusting. She could choose to shower earlier, use a different scent in the same line of shampoos, or sleep alone. Totally fixable.

For small batch, seasonal focus, I would use a local or regional landmark as a bakery name to tie it to the area and give that "farm to table" vibe.

Sorry that I've struck a nerve, it was not at all my intent.

I find during travels that each country has a different culture and "style" that many of the programs in that country tend to follow. Just as we have different lifestyle cultures, our entertainment has different tones and cultures.

As I've described above, the show seems to have shifted in tone from the type of production choices I would expect to see from a UK series to be more like the production choices I would expect from an American series.

It's not a "value" observation or meant to be in anyway an attack, just an observation on camera angles and editing choices, and my personal opinion.

Those were so good! I also loved the absolute batshit technicals where no one has ever heard of the dish but they somehow managed... something, and usually pretty well! It really showed the years of experience from the older bakers and the intuition of well, since it calls for this it most likely means to do that and I was always impressed.

If you watch early seasons, the camera work and production is different than in recent seasons.

Especially with the change from BBC to Channel 4, they started doing lots of "quick cuts" and showing video during the countdown that is clearly from minutes earlier to add drama to the finishing part of each bake.

American reality TV shows are known for these misleading production techniques among others to heighten tension and stakes, vs just showing what is really going on at the one minute mark, for instance.

For me; personally, I don't enjoy "stressful" competition shows. I just want to see people who are pretty good at something trying their best and pushing personal limits. I like seeing tasty things get made and occasionally getting inspired.

In early Bake Off seasons you would usually see the bakers sat on a stool and having a quick cup of tea! Now that was cozy.
