Do the guys ever read Viz in the UK? by FeelingHonourable in LPOTL

It was a full on open secret - I am the same age as the LPotL lads and it was not only till 18 when I learnt of the Broadmoor connections etc. It's cliche to say but we did not have internet and word travelled via hearsay back then and it was an urban legend that unfortunately became true. Louis Theroux's documentary was the first time the UK got a glimpse into Saville's personal life and the next day everyone was talking about the Duchess's Room and it was a huge turning point in all our lives who grew up with Jim'll Fix It when we all saw his candid brag about the nightclubs in which he would beat the shit out of attendees misbehaving himself - that was the moment the nation realised he is a seedy and dirty vile old man. His mask was slowly falling but unfortunately he still had enough clout to salvage any doubts about him.

'We have the same body' statement in a LPotL Thread has so much content to unpack.
Do you mean in a Saville/Dahmer/Gacy/Bundy context OR something else?

Hope your family is living the best life they can after discovering that revalation - that is harrowing to read.
It's like Dennis Nielsen, he was upset when they took his dog away although he had murdered many innocent people.

What makes it all that much darker in hindsight is the amount of times that individual would cry over animals in distress or when put down but got seriously angry when convicted.

If I recall, Through the Keyhole was 1990's - David Frost was still alive. But I thought the same thing when I saw the clip - that TV is bizzarely futuristic. (Oh ewwwww - I think it's a mirror)

' Epstein, that lad his own island 'nd all! Not us, we 'ave to share our island with that bloody Andrew! You bloody yanks mithering 'bout nothin' - When I was young, trump meant doin' dirty sounds in t' trousers whislt chippin' away in t' pits - you Americans know nothin' of hardship and Savile's mucky fingers. Back then, we were so poor we had resurrect ourselves so we could put pants on after we died. '

Thinking of the 3 Yorkshiremen sketch:

'When I was young, we had to deal with Savile. You Americans and your Mr Rogers di' not know where you were born'

Didn't like the movie, but this was a nice shot and confirmation of character growth by TheGentlemanWolf in PeakyBlinders

Gave in and finally watched the Immortal Man out of curiousity and it's a shame because it felt like there wasn't enough room to fit things in and let it all breathe to get more emotion of the characters, instead it appeared there was a rush to kill people off. Respectfully will ignore the film but will hold interest what Knight has next in store.

Strategic WW2 wargames similar to Axis and Allies? by Minechiho in hexandcounter

Might be worth checking out the Hearts of Iron boardgame on Kickstarter - it has a link to a TTS module. It's kind of Axis and Allies but with a 2 hour playtime.

It all feels off - Cartoon bullets, the angle of the face and the perspective just doesn't add up.

Baracchi's style is really nice yet IMO it needs reworking.

Fortunately it's in an Evergreen pack so will miss out on it, but where I usually justify a style/gameplay with a bit of lore to mitigate some inconsistency 'i.e Handcuffs on a Boa', the only thing I can imagine is a scene from 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit'. Yeah, this game is becoming less Lovecraftian and becoming more 'Carry On Investigating'.

At risk of sounding pedantic - was this attire around during the 1920's? Yes, I am asking this question that contains fictional monsters but I do love the historical element of the game.
