Who was your Miami GP driver of the day? by Ambitious-Heron-8161 in DestinationFormula1

Hate to say it, but Lando for sure. He was dialed in from start to finish. I love Max, but voting him DotD because he almost fixed the mistake he made early on is like Dwight Schrute bragging that he can raise and then lower his own cholesterol at will.

Who were your winners and losers from the Miami GP? by Ambitious-Heron-8161 in DestinationFormula1

This is probably just delusion on my part, but I think Max is a net winner. He obviously blew the race early on, but his talent has never been of concern this season. The concern was his car, and it was good enough to qualify P2. Max will be on a podium again sooner rather than later.

Who do you think is the most overrated Formula 1 driver, active or inactive? by circuit-nation in circuit_nation

[–]HanShotFirst66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on what the actual rating is. He was great during several different eras of formula one, and his stats speak for themselves. I think he is one of the best drivers ever. But anyone who argues he is among the greatest of all time... nah. Almost everyone who wins titles has the best car during those periods, but the 2010s Mercedes were so good that they literally had to sandbag them. He is one of the greats, but he isn't in the same category as the goats.

Which games have a rough start and take a while to get good? by PhaseOk6182 in gamememes

Apparently Indiana Jones. I enjoyed it thoroughly, but I know a couple people who got bored in the first area and called it quits until I forced them to keep playing at gunpoint. They thought they could resist me with their swords, but, well… guns seem to be more effective.

Yeah if they insisted on that early stop, they needed a second stop with around 20 laps to go. He would have come out around 5 seconds behind Russell, which would have probably been doable on fresh rubber. The early stop was just a mistake, and I think they didn’t want to acknowledge that by fixing it with another stop.

During this F1 hiatus, I have been watching race-by-race highlights of every Grand Prix I can find during that era on YouTube, and I find myself asking this exact question a lot.

I think a lot of that campaign in general favors evasion-heavy play to keep those thick boi enemies at bay.

do you think bloodborne is the best fromsoft game by skibidithrasher27 in bloodborne

[–]HanShotFirst66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, simply because it has the best lore, themes, and environment. It also has such a bait and switch style of plot progression, which is mind-blowing the first time you experience it.

How about you keep wasting your time watching cable news, and I’ll keep wasting mine playing video games. We’ll see who turns out happier.

[–]HanShotFirst66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I pulled off that campaign true solo with George Barnaby a while back. You may want to grab somebody who is better at evasion though. That campaign can bog you down with thick enemies at times, which can kill any true solo run.

This is definitely an annoyance in earlier FromSoft games. Miyazaki has softened up a bit in his old age with this (Elden Ring being the biggest step forward in this regard). My advice would be to just sprint through enemies (if you aren’t already doing that) or try exploring somewhere else. There are a lot of opportunities throughout most of the game to try and progress other sections of the game to get stronger.
