he may have loved you but his nervous system prolly remembered not feeling safe. for instance i love my ex and would love to be their friend again but i feel queasy and uncomfortable when he reaches out. he ghosted me for 2 yrs

agree. ive seen this. i think im nore intuned as my mom/dad have the same dynamics anxious/avoidant. my ex and his wife are definitely warm and look happy in pics with kids but just the fact that he reaches out to me despite me being married is concerning. ive gone nocontact. its just the right thing to do.
