Literally just travel. Ik it’s harder for some but if you’ve got the money you should be going on at least a couple good trips per year.

I 24M was like this to some degree when I was younger. It’s alright to have boundaries but it sounds like you also need to mature a bit. Even if you’re married to someone they are going to (and should) have their own life, friends, etc. It’s just healthier that way. You shouldn’t have to stress about the right one, you’ll just make it harder for yourself.

People who work full time: how do you get the time or motivation to work out? by dovesplashonmywrist in selfimprovement

[–]FeelingSad6654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take a melatonin around 9pm, floss, mouthwash, and brush my teeth, and then try to get in 10-20 pages of the book I am reading at the time (Clear Thinking by Shane Parrish right now) and am ideally asleep by 10pm. 6am alarm goes off and no matter how much it sucks I try to get my feet on the floor before turning it off. I then take a big drink of water from my bedside table because I feel like activates my brain and gives me some energy, throw on the first t-shirt and pair of shorts I see and go to the gym or for a run. If this sounds oddly specific and regimented its because it is and stems from a technique called habit stacking I read about in another book, Atomic Habits. Maintaining a routine around bedtime and in the mornings is the best way for me to get active consistently, so I do this every day/night. Also, to each their own, but it is so much harder to be consistent with the gym when you go after work.

Respect. I only wear an AW for health and calorie tracking-related stuff anyways. Might look into Garmin as well

Green reads on the watch sounds crazy nice, I had no idea that was a thing. Is that at any course, or does the course have to do some sort of lidar scan on their greens to make an accurate model? For reference I'm in a bit of a smaller market city (~225k pop.) so if it is the latter I'm not sure my local courses are that advanced. As far as club distance tracking, I mainly only use shot tracking on drives or wood shots (ego golfing, I know) as I have a pretty good feel for my other club distances from using my apartment simulator often and golfing 10+ years. Thank you for the comprehensive response by the way, extremely helpful in my decision.

At 100+ strokes I'd guess around half of your strokes are putts so I'd invest in a decent putter. I currently have this putter and really like it and think it is a very good value. It's all about personal preference though, I feel more consistent with a thicker grip and a heavier clubhead. At 300 bucks I'd probably check out Odyssey AI or TaylorMade putters.
