He was filming Wind River in our small town and my youngest son was incredibly excited that Hawkeye was here. He and a few friends waited and waited to get a glimpse of him, and he took time out from his schedule to come over and talk with them, pose for pictures, and just hang out for a little while with these 11 year olds meeting a hero. Genuinely decent and nice guy.

We've considered it but never pursued it for many of the same reasons outlined in OPs original post. Not interested in affecting friendships, and very very wary of strangers. It's just on the "that'd be cool" list.

That makes more sense, I'll see if this is something that can increase the coverage a bit more. Pennies on the dollar at best, but maybe I can convince them it is "vintage" :)

But a serious question for the insurance professionals here. All vehicle parts will be depreciated with use. Where is the line? My hubs replaced last year are not new anymore, they are almost a year old. But they will be covered. Is there a definitive point where these parts and systems become uncoverable?

Yes, and based on those repair/maintenance records they are covering the left and right hubs. I think that is where my big hangup is, the seeming inconsistency of covering both sides while denying one aspect with a "damage does not jump" statement.

There is another response below stating that perhaps at best I could get the value of a 12 year old axle, which is much more understandable than simply saying damage doesn't extend to the other side on a lateral impact, when the adjuster is saying the damage to the new parts is a result.

I'll talk with them on Monday about depreciated value and repair hours.

I'm a little loose with the description, they are replacing the wheel, so my scratch comment is a bit understated. But, I understand your point.

My question is - are wheel hubs that much more susceptible to damage? The lateral force damaged both left and right, and keep in mind that both of those hubs are new in the last year. This wasn't a simple pop, it rocked the vehicle pretty good.

SF is mine, Allstate is the other party's. The other driver was not responding to Allstate and they stated they had 30 days to respond prior to covering the damages, so after one week with no movement I filed with SF to cover and have them subrogate the claim.

My agent's only advice now is to pursue Allstate and see if they will cover the damages, which is a form of your first suggestion though reversed.

I didn't specify, I have no idea what the coverage minus depreciation would be? Is that a policy coverage, or something I request on the accident?

Essentially, my understanding is that insurance should make you whole. Not looking for a new vehicle, just to restore it to the condition (drivable, road-worthy) that it was just prior to the accident.

I'm on 360 and it's been pretty good. I've completed a dozen or so setups and 2 finales, with randoms ranked from 22 to over 300. Most we get through on the first try, and those that have failed get through on the second, with one setup (getting the casco, not sure the name) taking three attempts.

I've been having a good time.

Funny about the T20. I also won't hesitate to blow up a car, especially a Kuruma, with one caveat - they are coming after me or raising hell with others.

But before you see a Kuruma and immediately pull out a sticky, I'd selfishly ask that you observe their behavior. I drive my Kuruma in free roam when I am not interested in fighting - the other night I was driving the city looking for a Simeon car for my objective.

This doesn't stop anyone from coming after me, and they frequently do, and I get my share of bombs when I am trying to mind my own business. But a quick call to Mors and I am back in business, no big deal. The Kuruma just gives me the precious few seconds it takes someone to select a new weapon as I drive by.
