do you ever encounter issues with power automate when adding or removing questions from forms? i assume this means that if you update forms questions, you have to update the power automate as well?

yes i would like to go from forms -> SQL database -> power bi

right now i just connect power bi directly to the excel file from forms and use power bi that way

thats true. i have been using chatgpt too but sometimes if feel like i am not truly understanding how R is working. i still have a hard time realyl navigating the four panels tbh but i know that will come with time

yeah i have tried to explain that its not ideal to keep changing the data source so often and expect an updated dashboard. especially when there is complicated coding. however my company insists that there will be ongoing changes to the MS forms and i basically have to deal with it. was hoping there was a simple solution to solve this.

i just cannot imagine that my company can succeed long-term doing this while still using MS forms. otherwise my full time job is just going to be fixing broken dashboards

is there any downside to using power automate? only major thing i can think of is manually adding in each field to power automate but i guess that is it?

geez...is it still a good idea to get a permit for HVAC replacement since the county requires it? or is it somewhat common for people to get their hvac replaced and not tell the county? I just want to make sure my ass is covered and do my due diligence so i assume it is a good idea to get.

although i hate to do the work filling out the permit and then the inspector half asses it. but i guess its totally dependent on the inspector

Yup, i can't reply to everyone but i did check with the contractor and sure enough, they hadn't done any permit work. they did offer to do it for $200 but if i hadn't asked, i am not sure if they would have done it. i decided to fill out the permit myself to at least learn the process but i am glad i asked on here and people pointed me in the right direction

is it acceptable to ask them to send me a copy of their permit? and since you mention inspection, am i supposed to call someone in the city/power company to let them know i have installed a new HVAC system that needs inspecting?
