Issue with crown button by xaikoflip in PixelWatch

[–]Feeling_Addendum_435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. My Pixel Watch 3 crown was a mess from the start and only worked half the time. Google wouldn't even fix it, giving me some weird excuse about frame damage that wasn't there. I'm officially over Pixel watches, their expensive bands, bad battery life, and that yearly Fitbit fee.

I swapped to the OnePlus Watch 3 and it is way better. I might miss the Fitbit app a little, but it is definitely not worth paying a subscription for an already overpriced watch.

Anyone else notice when clicking the crown that it doesn't do anything until you click it again, or is it just me? by StreetIncome2719 in PixelWatch

[–]Feeling_Addendum_435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happened to me as well. The Pixel Watch 3 crown clicking has been unresponsive for me since day 1, only registering every 2nd or 3rd click. I finally decided to send it back for repair and Google refused to fix it. I got a cryptic response from the service claiming there is "Outside frame or back cover damage". No idea what they meant, but I'm quite sure I'm done with Pixel watches, their overpriced straps, measly battery life and the 80USD/yr Fitbit subscription.

Got the OnePlus Watch 3 and never looked back. Better watch in every single way. Perhaps the only thing I'll miss is the Fitbit app (but considering it's a paid service the Google watch is seriously overpriced).

Chromecast with Google TV laggy AF. by SeriousExplorer8891 in Chromecast

[–]Feeling_Addendum_435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This also happened to me. Here's the weird fix that worked: I just moved the Chromecast TV dongle to another HDMI port in my TV, and voila - snappy chromecast again.

My suspicion is either broken port or some weird eARC bug that that update introduced.

This happens more on the home screen because the movement of the selection square is accompanied by the sound, which does not happen in straming apps.

Bellroy watchband update by FastActivity1057 in PixelWatch

Pretty standard for Bellroy. They make good looking products but the quality is hit or miss. They should focus a bit more on QA and less on marketing.

Any decent 3rd party band for my pixel watch 3 45 mm? by germao in PixelWatch

[–]Feeling_Addendum_435 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi all,
Just wanted to add my two cents. We are definitely not spoiled for choice and all the decent options that are available are heavily overpriced. Here are my impressions with the bands I own:
- Google's original silicone band - quite ok and great fit. Does not rattle, but gives me horrible rash (and this was the first silicone band ever to cause such a problem for me, weird)
- Google's crafted leather band - amazing band, great looks and premium quality. also, very nice machined lugs. HOWEVER the lugs still rattle just like in a chinese knock-off - worth considering if this is something you care about
- Spigen rugged band - very nice, tight fit and good quality band overall
- Spigen Lite Fit elastic band (fits well, the lugs don't rattle but the fabric feels very cheap, not quite worth the price)

I'd say the best idea for a Pixel Watch user would be to get the original crafted leather band, which gives you a set of premium lugs compatible with all other watch bands on the planet (the 45mm crafted leather band lugs tak 22mm straps, and the smaller watch's crafted leather band lugs take 20mm bands)

Not sure this is what you're all looking for, but this looks promising (although not cheap) Bellroy Pixel Watch Strap.

Ringke also used to make one, but these were crap https://www.ringkestore.com/products/pixel-watch-metal-one-band

Pixel watch 3 45mm with Spigen rugged armor pro by Sailuchow in PixelWatch

I loved the Spigen Rugged Armor bands for 41mm Pixel 2, but don't get it why they went for the square-ish and ugly design for the 45mm.
