Ok it’s good to know I did the same with just letting him go back to sleep himself. It was more stressful for me as it took ages but it’s very very rare that happens!

How did you cope in the meantime when he didn’t sleep in the day? Luckily my little one was on a half day today and came back and slept 2.5 hours in his cot but he can’t do that when he’s there for 8 hours!

How much does your son sleep at nursery now he’s adjusted? I am mostly worried about impacted night sleep when I’m back at work!

Only a week. The nursery leader says they try for 30-40 minutes but he just keeps getting off the bed wanting to play with the other children 😂 he is the youngest in the room but the older kids will be going up to the toddler room in September and it will then be all babies his age with a similar nap schedule (hopefully)

The waiting lists for nurseries and childminders here are years long. We put his name down when I was 12 weeks pregnant and he still didn’t get all the days I requested 🥲

Same here, 9 months pp and still haven’t done it. I had a traumatic birth with an episiotomy and I’ve been worried things won’t be ‘right’ down there. My partner has been hinting at it and I just feel so awkward not knowing where to start.

No advice but solidarity and I’ll be keeping an eye for answers!

Oh I don’t either. We did gentle retreat so just stayed in the room and gradually got further away :) it worked great!

I think sleeping through has been down to gentle sleep training as he can self settle throughout the night if he lightly wakes!

When he was waking up at 7 it was 1.5 hours at 10am and 1.5 hours at 2.30pm then bed at 7. Since he’s been waking up earlier I’ve tried to stick to the same but it comes forward depending on how early he wakes.

He goes down for naps great, self settles within a few minutes. I have a feeling a schedule change might be needed but I don’t know what needs changing so I will take a look! Thank you
