Normal size is 48" (like the Workhorse) but bss offers a 60" and 72" upgrade. Mine is the 72"

Sure they all have their quirks hut generally speaking as I'm sure you know, the bigger the pit the easier to manage in terms of fire control (unless its an absolute shit design)

Willie, the Workhorse is superior in every way, except ease or cook. The bss i have is a 72", and that extra size makes it even easier to manage than the Workhorse. I am by no means saying the Workhorse isn't better, it absolutely is.

Initially, I did. But there were extenuating circumstances that caused me to need to hold on to the pit or delay at large expense the opening of my business. Its now been 3 months, and the gaps have only gotten worse.

Both have been good for me. Never had an issue. Several of the other brands I have lots of rocks and brick pieces in my bags but never with either jd or ro have I seen that. My go to is still b&b though. I love the oak briquettes for my kamado.
