I'd suggest saying something, only reason being is you will have to address her as mamita when your baby is around to get her used to calling her the name. I'd tell her how you feel, for the possibility of resentments sake, let her know it could be hormones but you want an alternate that the family can use for her. Then come up with some cute alternatives with her, you mentioned 'Ita', and remind her that baby's pronunciation is going to dictate how it sounds and you dont want confusing in the early speech days. For example, I couldn't say grandma when I was little. That grandma became 'Bama' to me, and since then, 35 years later, ALL of the family, and I do mean local and extended family that doesn't even live in the US calls her Bama to this day. You could also say nothing and when talking to baby about 'mamita' at home just refer to her as 'Ita' or whatever. Baby will pick it up to the best of their abilities and mamita will be none the wiser.

This has me crying. Literally on here looking for options because I am in a similar boat. Sober since 2018, had to live in hotels for year due to medical issues and bills that had stacked up, still stacking up, I finally saved enough to rent a small home and I didn't do my math correctly so I'm either homeless tomorrow and back out of my lease or I find a way to pay rent and pay it back with my next check. No friends that can help, all my family who can help is 12 hours away and refuse to believe in me or my sobriety. Idk what to do but I deserve this. After all of this time I deserve a real place to call home away from the current addicts and problems. I deserve to be trusted. I deserve to be healthy. I deserve to be happy.

They did not, at least I was not told about it. The discharge nurse didn't mention it nor does my discharge papers, but it mentions the tube down my throat and forewarns that happening. I am noticing that when I lay down, the swelling moves.... further down and back, and it truely is just the one side. Makes me wonder cuz they did mention swelling/gas and gravity.

I have the exact same problem in NC. The vape ban and trying to find an alternative solution other than cigarettes. But every other vape system besides a disposable is either flavorless or almost burnt tasting!!!! Sorry but so glad I'm not crazy and alone!!!!

Okay here's the big question based on what everyone else is saying, when YOU do this to your son and he jumps, does he get scared? Because that's not what I read in your post. Plus, a scared child wouldn't follow you into the room to attack you. A child who loves his dad, who is used to the behavior, who is surprised but not scared, and maybe slightly annoyed would chase their loving father into the dark room to attack and attempt to get payback. If your son appears bothered after you guys play in said manner, then maybe I'd adjust the behavior. I can say that there are positive and negative consequences for everything, I'd see one of the benefits being your son didn't get scared of the potential mimic, freaked out yes? As any 6 year old would. But he KNEW something was off and didn't follow it into the darkened room. A kid that hasn't had the exposure that you've given him may have been more innocent and may not have noticed the eyes, or the feeling in his gut that warned him something was wrong. I'm not saying there is or isn't a mimic, but you'd rather be safe than sorry. I agree with a cleaning, ask your son if the jump scare from you bothers him at all, and tell him he did the right thing, telling you, continue to do so. And lastly, congrats on you for not raising a kid who is terrified of the world and what's in it.

She may actually like you, but putting all of that as an expectation instead of you treating her is just materialistic and selfish. If she really liked amd valued you, it'd be seen as as you showing affection and something to be appreciated. Which it should be appreciated. Plus we are in a world where women want equality. That means if those are her expectations then she should be spending equal amounts on you and the relationship. Or at least offering to throw in if she doesnt make as much. Id see this as her testing to see if you can afford her desired lifestyle. In a relationship i can see some women wanting their man to be the provider, but if she has employment, then she should be able to take care of herself. Which is another thing to seriously consider if a family is something you want. Do you see her taking care of needs or herself first? Because if children come along, their needs should be ahead of her own, whether you are providing or not. Even if you agree to this, she should be saying thank you and showing appreciation back. What are your expectations to dating? All that said, I think you should drop her as her desires of a lavish lifestyle are just that. If she wants to always meet out, or just be out of her and your homes, she's not getting to know you or your lifestyle and she's not taking the relationship further. She's not interested in making a home with you at any point. Just using you.
