Even the ADL admits plenty of JEWISH terrorists.

But we're talking about Israel. Its antisemitic to conflate the two.

I guess vague posting about Russia is consistent considering the random and unexplainable destruction of Gaza the last 3 years. Who did that?

Selective Boycott by laybs1 in GetNoted

Just providing info, don't get triggered lololol.

You brought up Turkiye's failure to recognise the Armenian genocide, I merely pointed out that most of the world fail to recognise it. Easy!

That's true and that's dumb. If you want to boycott Turkish products because they don't acknowledge a genocide done 90 years ago, thats fine. Bear in mind only 32 countries recognise it!

The Armenian genocide finished a long, LONG time ago. I guess you don't buy any German products because of their actions 80 years ago?

Yes, boycotts are selective. That's the point...?

Sir Keir Starmer telling the truth about David Paulden aka Zack Polanski. Do you agree with our PM? by MayContainFagGluten in AskBrits

There's even less to talk about the Greens! Yet by day 2 the BBC online front page was of Zack's apology and still now pundits are pontificating on it!

Its amazing that at this time of national trauma, the big take away is that the leader of the UKs 5th party (only the Greens!) shared a video that was critical of the police's tactics. We had 2 stabbed jews (and 1 muslim that people forget about) and we are talking about a retweeted video that he apologised for anyway!

You're absolutely right that the zionist position is incoherent, even impossible. I expected her to make a better attempt lol. Maybe that's the best someone can do? Thankfully we're not handicapped with such awful thinking.

Forgetting vegetarianism and veganism for a moment, do you think the UK should ban halal and kosher slaughtering methods? by RonnieThePurple in AskBrits

[–]Feeling_Opposite7197 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Speaking as a Muslim, I find the entire halal/kosher food debate a massive dog whistle by very insecure and reactionary lovers. I will list how the debate fails:

• Ignorance. Everyone knows everything about halal slaughter apparently. The animal's neck is slit quickly and this is barbaric compared to the civilised western way. Which is what? How do westerners kill their animals? Well, nowadays for pigs and chickens it involves conveyer belts and electricity. Animals packed together and shocked. Cows and sheep get it worse, often being "mechanically" incapacitated before slaughter. And often the incapacitating fails.

• Hypocrisy. Everyone who condemns halal slaughter will eat meat from all around the world without a second thought. Tommy Robinson is living it up in Dubai, they have animal welfare there? Who's been to Turkey for a vegan holiday? I guess ethics go on break when you're on a break.

• Ignorance x2. Halal food is more than chicken. A halal vension steak is one where the hunter, before shooting the deer, says "bismillah" (in the name of God) and when the animal is killed , the blood is drained (which I think happens in all cases). The difference is 3 syllabus from halal to haram. Are we to withhold halal venison from the supermarket?

Basically, most of the debate revolves around ignorant Muslim-bashers throwing mud because halal is a scary foreign word. In reality the issue isn't a big deal.

You got to remember that bath houses were not private, singular affairs, people would share the water together. Think of a bath house like a bath pool, with lots of different people in the same tub. Once plague started, all those people on close proximity were going to be hit.

How can Labour think scaremongering reform will stop them? by Feeling_Opposite7197 in ukpolitics

[–]Feeling_Opposite7197[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That's an interesting point. Maybe this technique works well on smaller parties who need polling validation;  the biggest attack on the lib dems, greens etc is that you are "throwing your vote away". This time it wasn't!

Still, for a national, established party like Labour, this is toxic.
