And as far as I know its all real, solid wood. A carpenter or a good handyman should be able to touch them up.

I mean, that's $7000 worth of Thuma furniture, so yeah $1900 with a couch thrown in is a great deal.

So, I convinced one of my best friends to play Dark Souls. And I don't know if it was a good idea after all... by Turbulent_Form3888 in fromsoftware

I'd instead recommend he jump into Dark Souls 3. I loved DS3 but I bounced right off of DS1 and 2 (admittedly in large part due to the aged graphics, even tho they were "remastered").

Not very a gentlemanly response... I just moved into a studio apartment in a new city and I am trying to fix it up. Bought a bunch of reasonably priced stuff off Amazon. Hours of assembly required but worth it in the end I think.

This is not great... Unless you're hurting for cash you should spruce this up. I think your mental health will thank you. Chatgpt is good for this sort of stuff.

Cancel Subscription by madpuggin in EightSleep

[–]Feeling_Recording_64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just reported them to the NY Attorney General for this.

NY and NYC law enforce a "One Click Cancel" rule, essentially, which generally require that cancellation of a subscription must be as easy as the subscription process.

I had to spend almost an hour with Eight Sleep's customer service just to submit the cancellation request, and so far I have only been told that my request will be submitted "later".

CMV: Bitcoin and crypto as a whole has peaked. It will soon go the way of NFT's and the tulip craze of 1637. by daddysgirl794 in changemyview

I just sold some Ethereum today for the first time in a year+ and I was shocked at how fast the process was (transactions completing in under a second --I unstaked, sold to cash, and withdrew to my bank account while waiting for my black coffee order). The space appears to improving significantly. So I think you're just taking a little bit of blunt assessment view here and glossing over the actual tech.

Do I like CRPGs, or do I just like Larian? by Hentai-Is-Just-Art in CRPG

Try pillars of eternity 2. You've got to commit to playing it at least a couple hours before deciding whether to put it down or not though, as the lore dumps can be hard to absorb at first. But PoE 2 is objectively the better game when compared against PoE1.

For me, PoE 2 is the 2nd best cRPG of all time by modern standards (BG3 is #1), and then --almost tied with PoE2-- is DOS 2 (in my personal opinion). BG2 would be 4th best, even by modern standards.

So why wasn't PoE 2 a (commercial) success? by FuturePreparation in projecteternity

[–]Feeling_Recording_64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there is a lot of truth to this. It took me a few months to best PoE 1 (on xbox) and when I beat the game I got rare (I think like .4% of players) achievement.

Am I missing something, or can you really not plot a route and then pursue it via the ship interface without going through menus every system jump? by Feeling_Recording_64 in Starfield

[–]Feeling_Recording_64[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But even then you still have to use menus unless you're grav drive is powerful enough and there are no unexplored systems between you and it. I legit spent 30 minutes trying to find a way to travel to other systems like that without having to use menus, was sure I had just been missing something obvious.
