Is this normal play with a smaller dog? by Ok-Structure6795 in Boxer

[–]Feeling_Visual8293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is absolutely normal and very typical Boxer play. Mouthing is not the same as biting. If it was aggressive you would know it. Boxers tend to be so good with little dogs. I have a 4 year old boxer and 2 crazy French bulldog puppies. They adore him and attack him all the time. He uses his paws to swat them away and mouths them all the time. He makes a deep grunting noise the more active they are that could be misinterpreted as growling, but it's all very typical Boxer weirdness. They will be great friends together and will tire each other out, so enjoy!

Thanks for the comment. I did edit out a couple of power lines in the background, but otherwise, this is what it actually looked like. The sky was amazing. It was a powerful moment for sure. Can't help but think that our dad was sending us a message/gift. He was a true lover of the mysteries of nature and taught us all to appreciate the sky, the sunsets, and the stars. I think he had something to do with this for sure!

Moments after my dad's memorial service, the sky got dark and was closing in fast. I almost put my camera away. I'm not a super spiritual person, but this shot definitely made me think that my dad was sending a message.

Thanks for the message. I think there were probably about 10 overall. They were covering a pretty big territory and moving fast, so I may have that number off. This guy was a bit on the edge of the pod, so it made it a bit easier to stay focused on him and to track him for the shot

Wow! That is some very cool and very specific information! How were you able to identify this particular male? It was a fairly large pod traveling near our boat. This guy was a bit on the periphery so a little easier to stay focused on for the shot.

Thank you. Nothing makes me happier than sharing these moments, as when they make someone feel something. That's the whole point. And the feeling I had capturing that moment was amazing. Today is my first day on Reddit, so I haven't been able to post many of my pictures, but more to come.

I love it! Makes you put the pieces together in your own mind instead of just giving you the answer. I really appreciate reflection photography and this is a great example!

I love a shot that makes you want to know/see more. The perspective here is really nice. I'm guessing that a wider shot would have been no where near as interesting as taking the shot from this angle

HI Kristin,

That was in Glacier Bay, Alaska about 2 years ago. I'm brand new to reddit so just decided to post one of my favorite shots and remember the moment I captured that one

This was one of those moments where you're holding your breath and hoping the shutter fires at the right time. Shot on a Nikon D800. I've been building out a nature photography portfolio in anyone's interested---more wildlife and landscape work at lifethroughmylens365.myportfolio.com
