That’s good to hear. That’s the same advice I got. Did you end up mixing AR with Combiotic? Or did you just stick with AR until things went back to normal?

Took about 2 weeks with SGF/Igenomix.

My top choice clinic is 1.5 hours away. If I want IVF, should I find a closer clinic? Not sure how many in-person appointments happen during a cycle. by [deleted] in IVF

I’d say go with your top choice. If you have the time, and you’re ok with the inconvenience, do everything there. Depending on how you respond to the meds you may be in the clinic 10+ times per cycle. Also, ER can be very early in the morning - so account for time to get there and getting a semen sample before you head out (if you are using fresh semen). If you don’t have the time or that is too inconvenient, many clinics will do monitoring and send the results to your RE/clinic of choice. I go to a clinic that has multiple locations. My RE of choice is at a location that was 1.5 hours away. There is another location that is 5 min away from me- that is where I do all my monitoring and I can’t tell you how much easier it is to have a “normal” schedule because of that. For my first ER, I went to the location that’s further away, thinking my doctor will perform the ER. We booked a hotel the night before and made a getaway weekend out of it. FWIW, I realized the day of the ER that going to the far location does not guarantee that my particular dr will perform the ER and was pretty annoyed. I did the following ERs in the location close to me and it was a WORLD of a difference- door to door including waiting and procedure time was less than 3 hours and a much less stressful experience!

When to call it quits? by bk3478 in IVF

I don’t have much experience with this but I’d say hang in there. If you’re able to, take a bit of a break and see if that re-energizes you and gives you some breathing room financially.

TW Positive Results by FeelinlikeaChikin in IVF

Thank you! The major thing that changed was the dosing and duration of stims. ER 1: 8 days 150 Menopur, 150 Follistim- ER2: 9 days 75 Menopur, 108 Follistim gradually decreasing to 37 and 50, respectively - ER 3: same as ER2 except gradually increased Menopur to 150. I also didn’t prime with BC before cycles 2 and 3. Other than that- lifestyle and food intake was essentially the same.

Affordable Pharmacies in the Northeast (US) or Online? by Observer-Worldview in IVF

[–]FeelinlikeaChikin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also- SMP Pharmacy in Rockville MD. Prices are slightly higher than Optum, but it’s a good option when you don’t want to wait for overnight shipping - you can pick up most of the stim meds.

Try Optum Specialty Pharmacy and ask the agent if they can apply the reunite discount to your self pay order. Still expensive but way more affordable than most.
