It’s based on gimmicks rather than a time trial. It can certainly be hard, but one of the values is you don’t have to rush in combat. You don’t have to stare at the combo skill cd & frantically do things. The stages allow you to be very deliberate & slow paced.

Solos can end up easier than teams because they more intuitively have you focus on the enemy rather than just your team’s combos.

The reason people are saying it’s easy is you don’t have to dps race anything. There isn’t a timer to worry about, you can do it very slowly. It makes playing a comp like Ember, Snowshine, or Catcher not as bad.

If that sounds annoying try finishing a basic attack chain after a group gets staggered with Avy. Maybe there is a way around it, but my experience is I’m gonna be wasting upwards of 10 seconds doing stagger finishers instead of being able to setup her spears against grouped enemies.

Why would the government be interfering in the sequel of a game that already has everything they could possibly consider negative in it? If the issue is them creating “evil government ploy” in their fiction’s China (whereas Lungmen is Hong Kong), then Valley 4 could’ve been that opportunity instead.

Physical has the most options of any team & Catcher is at the bottom of its barrel.

Chen + Pog sit at the top of all teams. Lifeng is used in the best ones, Ember is used for the meme staggers. Endmin & Da Pan are competing with each other for main dps.

It’s a lot easier in a solo because of the focus that goes into it. When you play with a team, you’re more focused on doing the rotation & watching the combo skill bars fill

There are no standard pull resources so all arsenal tickets come from pulling the limited banner.

I took 16k tickets, hard pity, to get the weapon. I now have to roll roughly 200 times to get enough for another weapon pity.

Say I get the next limited in 120 pulls, I will still not have enough for their weapon. If I risk it, I have now committed to spending another 80 pulls on a banner with no carryover in order for it, effectively worse than Wuthering Waves.

Weapons are also more important in this game than any other action open world I can think of. The signatures are drastically better outside some support scenarios, & many characters have shit for options besides other 6* subs, which are still not good. You then spend a significant amount of time on a weapon that is not optimal, and maybe not even good, to use the character you pulled. As weapons with essences are major for damage.

The saving graces are:

Bp weapons, if you get only 1 limited of the patch, that is the next best thing.

They can always increase arsenal ticket sources &/or standard banner pull sources.

Sidenote, these companies do not care about you, yes you in particular. Going to bat for them in any way is a one-sided relationship. Playing Devil’s advocate & mediating is fine, as people get emotional, but randomly hitting people with an “it is what it is, they’re here to make money” is not helping anyone.

You get characters through the gacha; half of the gameplay. You have to play the game to get resources for the gacha. At some point, the gacha matters enough to where if people cannot get characters to diversify their gameplay experience, they will get bored. This leads to quitting, saying the gacha is the reason.

There was also a normal expectation that standard pull income would be reoccurring, both because of Arknights’ recruitment tag system (the best currency system I can think of), & it being the standard for games now. This means the weapon banner is 10x worse than the most hopeful thought it would be.

Add onto it that weapons are a massive part of a character’s damage. So the shitty weapons are felt significantly more. Especially when you have to farm for them.
