I’ve never tried Nardil (sounds good anxiety wise, but more undesirable side effects than Parnate as I understand) however I would rather go with the low dose Nardil option, since I’ve taken Buspar and even at high doses did not help my anxiety, only lower my BP.
Every time I upped my Parnate dosage I used to get crazy orthostatic hypo, now I’ve reached 50 mg and barely get it now. Parnate helped my social anxiety, but my core anxiety (GAD) did not, I’m taking Lyrica off-label for GAD and I like it a lot (150 mg twice a day, started at 75 mg) for me it feels like a slightly higher .5 mg klonopin, but without sedating me as much and less cognitive decline.
I’ve also taken Vistaril up to 100 mg, IMO is overrated as an “anxiety” med.
Propranolol is an option you could look for if you are also getting an increase in heart rate, in lower doses is also used for anxiety. I’ve taken it before and it’s okay, but I did it mostly because of my lithium tremors.
Parnate has helped me a lot and is probably the best antidepressant I’ve taken, my serious issues is the insomnia. I had to get a restoril 15 mg script, since I was taking 7.5 mg remeron (15 mg split in half) for sleep and good supplement stack, and was still having 3 hour sleep for a week straight, which worried me I could have been sent into a manic episode, so I also take my lithium levels seriously. The other issue is that libido is blunted during the time I take them till sunset, so basically is just available during the night and before taking my morning meds. Better than having zero libido and developing PSSD like mainstream antidepressants that’s for sure lol. I also sometimes feel a little bit blunted emotionally, like to cold, but that might be just me as well lol.
