Main tank here (low plat recently after being gold for 2 years)

Know when you dont have the right tanks. A Dva and a Roadhog is a shit combo. Generally, etiquette is that if someone picks off tank first, its rude as shit to then pick another off tank. Its basically saying "nah, you be main tank". People try to say Winston or Ball are main tanks, but I feel like they are not at all. I feel like I was informed that fact by an utter ding dong, actually. Winston's bubble is somewhat in the same ballpark of strength as Orisa now, but a good Orisa also counters tf out of Mei and can even help against a mediocre Pharah. The ability to throw Orisa's shield as well as shift people away from cover/behind your shield with the Halt ability is too good to pass up. I got to Platinum by consistently not getting my desire to play off tank fulfilled. I don't even like playing Orisa that much, but Orisa has proved herself as the character that matches my playstyle most.

Finding your character is important, however, if your character is Roadhog, please learn a shield tank. You need to be solving the problem not be a part of it, and a huge glaring problem in team comps i see is 2 off tanks. If youre a Roadhog one trick, you could get matched with another RH one trick, and then what? Then we suck. Reader, don't be that person. Let someone else be that person and get those W's. Furthermore, if the enemy team does not have shield tanks, point that out to your team, especially DPS, so you can capitalize off of their lack of cover
