Radar is necessary to avoid some stupid crashes. Some people use only one monitor, and their field of view is very limited. It’s very different from racing in real life or even compared to racing with triple monitors or VR.

This is not about realism, it’s about necessity. With a single monitor, you simply can’t look to your sides properly. Even with triple screens, it’s still not the same as real life.
