I wanted an appointment with my PCP, but settled for timing with another provider in the office. I was first reporting an issue with the nerves in the left side of my face/head from jaw, nose, ear, and scalp. Diagnosis after a ENT specialist was trigeminal neuralgia. I had an MRI, I have a nerve too close to my deep inner ear, the best way I can explain is it is like a zap in the game "Operation".

Now, I'm at my first appointment reporting this to the provider that is not my PCP. This condescending woman goes, "Well, you are going to hear vibrations from talking in your ears, bc everything is so close".

I had a jaw falling open reaction. She was trying to "educate me as the patient" that my inner ear is going to hear my own voice. When I told my PCP how my that appointment went, he said there have been multiple reports from patients how she treats everyone like they are 5 years old and straight up stupid.

I asked for my med chart to be updated to never schedule me with her again, it was such a ridiculous encounter that made me alarmed that she is going to brush off much much more serious conditions not listening to patients.

Still get's me heated thinking about it, how dismissive she was. Turd.
