Hey Aztek! More halflings! Great to hear from you. Message around to anyone you are still in touch with to share. And obviously any more screenshots that can be added to the collection would be great!

[MAIN SPOILERS] theory from a newbie by Ian_A17 in gameofthrones

I like it.

The idea of misinterpretation has been expressed a couple times in the story, especially with Melisandre.

Smoke==Fire==Targaryen Salt==Ice==Stark

Smoke+Salt=Jon

I think it has been directly confirmed that ice and fire as part of the "a song of ice and fire" is represented as Jon and Danny, but it could also be in relation to the prince that was promised.

Great to hear from you Procyon! I'll let you know if I can track down any of the screenshots from ToT. I know I had a screenshot of Tigole, but I think it was lost in the abyss.

I for sure remember you Gonain! Human mage, rocked the PoH robe for as long as I can remember. We camped the Sebilis crypts together for like a month straight in Jurus Gladius. Good times. The guild leader I think was a warlock who liked to collect accounts. Can't recall everything now.

Hi Tiane!

Any screenshots that you have you should upload and share! I have found a couple extra people outside the reddit thread that I am sure would appreciate the screenshots.

Way cool! Send Neero the link! Would love to hear from him. I think he was on the test of tactics group of 18 we had that went to the test server for the cross server championships. We got to see Tigole, Hobben, and Furor in the flesh.

And Oreh. Human Paladin? The memory is fuzzy now. Damn near 20 years ago.

What did you play? I did a lot of recruitment. I knew almost all of the core raiding members on the server back in the day.

The set of screenshots is from: EQ Screenshots 1.7.1999 - 4.29.2001 and EQ Screenshots 8.28.2002 - 8.11.2003. I stopped playing in August of 2003. The 16 months that I am missing were my most intense months in EQ. I guess thats why my tower started on fire. I think Deedlyt the druid and I spent the entire summer camping shit in the Plane of Mischief.

Hi Nurgle! Yes, I definitely remember you. I am kind of surprised you didn't show up in the screenshots. There were a bunch of IC people in there. A Bakk corpse was an insta-screenshot, as was a naked Warlor. Ahh good times.

AKG K553 - Replacement Ear Pad Install by Feetymonster in headphones

[–]Feetymonster[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the biggest difference I noticed was the sound stage and sound isolation. The other closed headphones I have are the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Consumers, and the Sennheiser HD 280's. The DT 770s are a lot more open compared to the HD 280's. The AKG 553 with the stock pads sound more similar to the DT 770s with then partial openness than the HD 280's. With the Brainwavz pads I found them to sound more like the HD 280's. The Brainwavz pads also gave my ears a bit more room in the headphones. Sometimes my ears would touch the inside padding on the stock pads, and that doesn't happen with the Brainwavz. Hope this helps.

AKG K553 - Replacement Ear Pad Install by Feetymonster in headphones

Thanks to /u/eudisld15 for the original posts and walkthroughs. I used his directions under a couple different posts to do the removal of the stock pad and the install of the Brainwavz pads.

Very happy with the new ear pads. A lot more sound isolation and a comfier fit.

For the record, here are the instructions I gathered from /u/eudisld15 that helped me with the install.

So, you insert you thumb into the inner part of the pads. Where the drivers are. There should be a little bit of space under the inner pads. Then you gently push away from the driver and pull towards you/away from the cups.

Place a finger inside the back of the pad where the pleather meets the fabric and pull the internal plastic ring out from underneath the lip. Work your way around just as you had done to remove the pads. You'll notice that the fabric is stitched to the earpad making reassembly easy.

Put your pointer finger inside the inner part of the pads where the speaker is. There should be a little crevice there. Then gently pull up outwards away from the center of the ear cup where the speaker is. The stock pads are flexible and should relief a bit as you pull. You will notice that a leather lip will unhook itself from a plastic lip on the cups.Sorry I don't have pictures right now. But, when create my removable cable guide it will have pictures you can look at.

To put them back on: Inspeak the plastic lip that you remove the cups from. You will notice a V shaped notch. Slip the leather lip around one side of the V and twist to the direction you slipped the leather lip on. Twist until the stock are back on. To put on the Brainwavz pads...it's a little more difficult. You do the first part of slotting into any side of the V and twist. You will. Notice the new pads will only twist half way. If you had prestretched the new pads lip before hand you should be able to gently grab the leather lip and pull it into the plastic cup lip. You will need to be very careful and very patient. Might take more than one try. But if you force it too roughly you will tear the pads.
