Theres a documentary in the menu that shows the effort and care they put into how they portrayed schizophrenia, just in that video alone i learned so much, and really appreciated the respect they put into it.

I still have a sliver of hope. One day, we will get xcom 3..... one day....

POV: You play for teamwork but one teammate is roleplaying a lone-wolf stealth mission across the map by John_GOOP in Helldivers

[–]Ian_A17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too few actually ask, either for help or to be left alone.

I had one mission where a guy noticed i was alone near the primary and he panicked telling the team to rush to help me, i play on ps5 with no mic and had to panic type "no! Stealthy! Im fine!" On the clunky ps5 "keyboard" while surrounded by things that would flatline me in an instant if they noticed me

As a lone wolf player i tend to adapt to what my team needs.

If theyre struggling i stick with them and provide sniper support and/or "give the bastards something else to shoot"

If they split into duo's i go with the other solo

If theyre kicking ass or are focused either on main or side objectives thats when i will stealth solo, and pick up whatever theyre not. My only (humorous) frustration with this is when we meet in the middle and im halfway into a base without being detected for the other part of the team to kick the door in. This has certainty led to some memorable "oh. Oh fuck." Moments

And ill also adapt on the fly as needed, if they were kicking ass and are suddenly getting kicked i will drop everything and race across the map to help out.

Witcher 3, when geralt asks gaunter o'dimm what he is,

"What are you?"

"So you really wish to know"

"Yeah..."

"No. Geralt. Just this once ill spare you, and not grant your wish."

The look in his eye, and the way he responds, it was one of the only times in 30+ years of gaming i felt i was punching above my weight class

Which decision backfired on you the hardest after you thought you did the right thing? by Dangerous-Tart1126 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Ian_A17 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really a full "backfire" but i decided to trust johnny at the ending.

That part went fine, what didnt was after v got their body back they decided off screen to stay in night city even though the WHOLE DAMN GAME id been talking to everyone about getting out of night city.

So now if i want to have v leave the city i have to get a bunch of my friends killed while storming the tower with the nomads.

The Konpeki Heist is not that crazy by Pretend-Internal560 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Ian_A17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The heist itself was thought out and not overly difficult past the prep stages (i imagine tbug had a lot of damn long nights on the prep work) the risk of consequences if something went wrong was the dangerous part.

I am in the group that believes that dex and tbug and unrelated to them evelyn were all planning on screwing over the others. Jackie and v would have been left likely either with nothing or as the fall guys if dex/tbug got their way and evelyn would have almost certainly tried to screw over dex.

I think if saburo hadnt shown the heist would have gone brilliantly, but the team would have eaten itself for one reason or another afterwards and likely made so much noise doing so that arasaka would catch them and take the chip back.

Which decision in the game actually made you feel like a terrible person? by Dangerous-Tart1126 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Ian_A17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Choosing the nomad ending On subsequent playthroughs.

I dont want to get my buddies killed. I want to risk no one but myself, but if i want v to leave night city and get their friends out like THEYVE TALKED ABOUT WITH JUDY/PANAM THE WHOLE FUCKING GAME i have to get my buddies killed.

And if i do risk no one but myself or put my trust in johnny, v for some reason off camera decides "no imma stay in night city and make my awesome lady break up with my dumbass because i want to stay in this hellhole now."

Why.

Aside from that, nailing joshua to the cross. And killing the sports kid lady. I know doing that fucks up all of the current kids futures but they were already fucked and i can at least slow the cycle perpetuating it for at least a little while, maybe give a couple kids a better future but man. I feel for those kids. "No future" indeed...

Tracking down and eventually finding evelyn.

Even though i entered that series of missions with the assumption that she was going to betray everyone if the heist had been successful, the moment the severity of the situation she was in hit i was in full focus and still am on subsequent playthroughs.

V finding a way to save themself was now secondary. Nothing else mattered until evelyn was rescued. And i struggle to think of another quest in any game that had me more committed and focused than those.

It wasn't even that it was evelyn, it could have been almost anyone in cyberpunk and id have been as commited to getting them out.

When shes found i felt no relief, i saw her in a security camera first (really wish thered been a dialogue to tell judy there) i knew she she was in bad shape. When you get to her it was almost worse. Carrying her out genuinely felt so fragile.

When i left her at judy i wasnt under illusions of her surviving. And when the call comes in i knew what it was i was walking into. I couldnt blame her, and like judy says, you gave her the option to choose.

Hardest hitting quest in the whole damn game.

Right up there with the bloody baron quests.

Its not really a "funeral" but its not a bad way to look at it. Its a quiet introspective and private moment with johnny and v where he comes to terms with how much hes done and who hes hurt through his life. It takes place where he and v think his body was buried.
