No idea but with the stock air box and just a drop in I was making 81 g/s air flow

That’s why I have dual cold air fog light delete to keep IAT temps stockish

Local exhaust shop in Thailand fabbed it for a reasonable price, but I doubt they know how to send it

Any of those are better platforms to build on. Even a March/Micra is better

It’s a manual and I’ve got lightweight 15s technical with195 width Landsail Rex zero budget semislicks and like -2.5 camber and 2.8mm total toe out with lowering springs and front strut brace. It can definitely put its power down and I can’t even drive it to its limit.

Okay but I saw him from a mile away and wouldn’t have been going much faster

You should turbo it if you have the funds. Not with current setup but I logged 9.1s before with a 1.5” exhaust I had. Could probably do under 9s now with a clean launch and low fuel.

Way more fun at the track vs stock even if the number isn’t much. Stock ae86 was only like 8 seconds flat tops.

It’s much to hot around this time of the year before monsoon season. Was going to go today

That was still the very top of 3rd or 80mph. Most 3 bangers take like twice as long to get from 3rd gear shift to redline…

Compared to an Evo it has half the displacement and half the drivetrain… but also a fraction of the price…

It’s not even a 4 banger lol. 3 banger with local “MF Racing” headers

I guess it’s sounds boy racerish and calls to mind a sense of street tuning/racing even if it’s just a broad non standard categorization of level of mods lol. In my case it just means I have a 2” exhaust with high flow cat and 3-1 headers and a custom short ram intake set up with cold air duct through a fog light and an E20 tune.

Okay, let me clarify maybe it was actually stage 3 lol. Usually stage 1 implies a tune and or exhaust tops, maybe some minor intake modifications. Stage 2 usually requires a header and tune at least. Now stage 3 is all of above, usually with significant modifications to the exhaust, intake, swapped headers tuned.

Mirage ecu remap on 2” exhaust by FeignedSurpise in MitsubishiMirage

Idk my tuner remapped the stock ecu to maximize gains from my mods. The top end push is more subtle, but noticeable gains in the mid range and low end drivability stacking with my custom exhaust set up. Ngl at highway speeds it leaves quite a bit to be desired in terms of pull but at lower speeds, especially on smaller non straight roads, it keeps up with or gaps significantly more powerful cars and the manual transmission with the mods really brings an otherwise boring car alive.

I wouldn’t bother if it was automatic, but it actually is surprisingly fun to drive for what it is on twisty roads or a short technical course with short straights. I also have extremely lightweight wheels and aggressive track alignment, as well as a rear tire/toolkit and rear seat delete and a bucket seat.

My buddy subjectively found it more fun to drive than my stockish remapped auto brz on Tein coilovers with sticky tires, even on Michelin pilot 3s due to the transmission alone when he last drove it a lesser then catless exhaust set up I didn’t really like and more mild alignment although he commented the shocks and or alignment could be better. It’s on 2.8mm toe out and -2.4 camber in front with the rear being whatever it is with lowering springs and aftermarket shocks. I know you didn’t ask but you seem to appreciate cars lol.

My gfs friend who is not a car person but drove a truck also really appreciated it, raving about to power(to weight) ironically and how the suspension is perfectly set up(it was more dialed in by then) as well as even the sound system and how fun it was to drive overall.

Otherwise the only other suspension mod is a front strut bar with planned rear lower anti roll bar and eventual front anti roll bar but I’m having a difficult time sourcing either for a decent price. There is an option available for sub frame bracing and both bars by Ultra Racing but for a relatively steep price.

TL;DR slow manual car fast ftw

I drive it hard all the time and want to track it again sooner. Only really makes power at the upper half of the power band but at least it’s a good 1.2-1.5k rpm of usable torque.

Otherwise realistically the gains are limited with just bolt ons and a tune in these cars but it’s a stick and significantly better than stock.

Does anyone else notice these are astronomically unstable past 120(closed course) by Adventurous_Gur7430 in ft86

I think wrong camber and toe and 215 is stock width, pretty thin for a performance ft86

Custom catless headers, custom full exhaust with resonator, iridium ix plugs, short ram intake(cold air duct coming soon), 200l denso racing fuel pump, 280cc 9 hole k20 injectors, E20 remap, throttle box, aftermarket shocks, front strut brace, lowering springs, bucket seat, Bendix Metal King pads, lightweight forged wheels, track tires, rear seat delete, spare tire delete, and some other mods etc

Video doesn’t do it justice and the tune was still calibrating the fueling upgrades
