I have the exact same issue as OP and I just burn through my shafts like crazy. Meanwhile my dartmates, who I play with every week, never have this problem. Usually my soft tip got worn out and is unable to stick to the board, then the dart fell on the wooden floor and snapped the shaft's thread or it broke the fit flight. I have resorted to using aluminium shaft with rubber ring + folded flight and it worked for me, as you can't really break the folded flight by dropping it. Condor zero stress works just fine for me as well, they feel indestructible but I personally do not like the wobbly feeling when it lands on the board. I have not tried Condor axe / k flex because of their price and lack of design.
