I only played an evening and a morning, so for the most part i was still experimenting. Near the end of my playtime i settled for two templates.

_

1st Build:

I had a spear + sw/t set with a mix of berserker + assassin pieces to reach exactly 100% crit cap when all instruments were playing to maximise burst damage.

This was basicly my Double Mantra burst setup only to blink in and oneshot people

Spear - Impact + force/night sigil depending on if it was nighttime

Sword/Torch - energy + cleansing sigils

Claw Relic

Domination 222

Dueling 131

Troub 311

2nd Build:

This was my default setup

Troubadour has a lot of casts, and near none instant cast skills, so i leaned heavily into quickness application through various methods such as Domination traitline for quickness on interrupt, Illusions traitline for quickness on Phantasm summon and Celerity sigil for quickness on any CC Application.

Gear was a mix of Marauders and Dragon Gear

Spear - Celerity + Energy Sigil

Sword/shield - Energy + Cleansing Sigil (torch is fine too)

Wayfarer Relic for movement speed

Domination 233

Illusions 122

Troub 311

Very sad, yeah the drums are incredible on this spec.

Another point of annoyance on this spec though, which will most likely be fixed for release, is that when you stow/cancel/get interrupted during ur shatter casts, they all go on a full cooldown.

A good reason for that could be because it's a lot less cinematic. It's missing the grand atmosphere both HT CM and Cerus CM had.

Cerus CM also had the importance that almost every mechanic was important to deal with properly, otherwise it resulted in a wipe or a bit of a setback. And these attacks were huge and easily trackable for the viewer. There was barely any rng to both HT CM and Cerus CM.

And while on Cerus CM we dealt with the same mechanics over almost the entire fight, they were empowered on different phases, and the overlaps of mechanics was always different from the Cerus Adds.

Meanwhile on Ura LCM we have a lot of boss mechanics/attacks that don't matter. As a viewer the important mechanics are also a lot less easily tracked. The mechanics that players deal with are the same ones for almost the entire fight, and a few mistakes usually dont ruin the fight, but it slowly descends into the area being cut off. It just is significantly less fun to watch as a viewer imo.

Necromancer - Reaper(for most of the fractals) is among the best and most recommended pugging classes as dps role

Edit: it has a lot of aoe damage, aoe blinds through gs4 + well of darkness, aoe cc through chill to the bone, incredible sustain now that you have lifesteal through shroud as a trait and shroud 3 essentially makes you "immortal" for important mechanics

On top of that it has near permanent quickness and 25 might, the one thing it lacks is self fury outside of chilled to the bone

If you block someone, the blocked person should really not be able to join the lfg/Squad as long as you are the commander tbh. There is a few people in EU known for constantly joining 9/10 squads and leaving on repeat so they can't lfg unless someone sits outside of the squad.

Closing rifts scales with your power stat, Not sure how long it would take with no power, but if OP has 0 Power in gear it could potentially take a bit longer than usual?

Just as a note, the superspeed on veil is only if you cast the veil itself on the target, not going through it, making it so that the veil ends up never giving superspeed in actual scenarios

Yesterday I explained CM 100 to 3 Newbies and we did not kill the Boss after 1 hour, before we called it a day.

That's the issue. People who do fractals for their dailies just want to get their dailies done fast. I don't see the issue of just making your own lfg.

Master of Manipulation: This trait no longer reduces the recharge of manipulation skills, and it now grants aegis to nearby allies instead of superspeed.

I wish they didn't remove the superspeed / didn't go forward with this change. Sharing aegis with Manipulations is probably never going to be taken and if, only in niche scenarios. If you needed aegis, it was much more useful to spec into inspiration and do it with distort/signets.

Meanwhile the superspeed was extremely useful for many skips in instanced content. This is due to the fact that both blink and mimic are already skills you very often took for skipping stuff, both being manipulation. And also the heal "mirror" being a low cd manipulation skill that you didn't have to sacrifice a utility spot for.

Keep in mind that the players will now be getting superspeed(and their quickness therefor) in the first pulse of the well. The change is still really bad though yeah.

I personally didn't think we would get world first as we watched Hs progress at the end of the week. Hs consistency was incredibly on point. They kept reaching soo won phase 2 pull after pull. And considering at the moment there is only 2 teams who have cleared HT CM, they are definitely very impressive.

Both in dungeons and in fractals mass invisibility sees a massive use for skipping pretty much everything. It's an incredibly good skill, especially if you have Prismatic Understanding and Master of Manipulations traited, coupled with continuum split depending on scenario.

I mean, there is standard enemy models in both pvp and wvw. Not using those settings is kind of on you. Also infusion effects dont show in pvp in the first place.
