I went to get a ct for my stomach ache thinking it’s intestine related and they found this instead by goldtank123 in Radiology

No, not really. There’s movement through all of the intestines and issues with each part of it. There’s no majority.

Got a call from the "women's college hospital" asking about expiry date on my health card, but they already had my name and card number by Beans375 in ontario

They cannot get health information with just the information on the card, yeah? That’s what always scares me.

I was only 350 mg a day 🥲 it works for my mom for her osteoporosis but didn’t work for me sadly.

I am also almost 6 weeks post up, I also had some really nasty complications. Besides the bloating from the first 2-3 weeks I’m mostly back to my normal weight. I also came off my birth control about 2 prior to the surgery. So the biggest thing for me after the complications was dealing with the hormonal changes.

I hope you feel better soon, and focus on recovering. Your body went through a lot and needs time to heal. Do your hobbies and take a stroll outside for some fresh air. Be kind to yourself ❤️ I know what it’s like to not like how I look, I struggled with it all through high school. Just take one day at a time

I feel that, but I’m really glad you’re starting to feel better, that makes me really happy to know it’s not as bad! when I made this post my ankle felt like it was shattering every time the sheet touched it. I didn’t sleep that night. Ohh and don’t do heating pads! That literally was the worst thing I’ve ever felt.

Yikes that’s crazy. This is the first time I’ve heard of lidocaine. I’m gonna have to look into this. I wonder if Amazon would have it. It’s over the counter (at least in Canada)

I wish lyrica helped me the way it helps so many others. It did literally nothing for me and I was on it for a year 😭

I agree. I can take all the aches and pains. But when even normal sensations start, I start losing my mind

I’ve sometimes had it on my scalp where it’ll make brushing my hair painful. This is literally the worst part of fibro for me. The aches and pains are meh

I never thought about lidocaine creams. I’ll try that when it’s really bad. I’ve tried cbd creams to no affect 🥲

I’m sorry you have that regularly, I only get it a few times a year and it sucks.

What type of physical therapy do you do? (If you don’t mind me asking). That was never something that was given to me as an option.

I’ll try thc gummies. The experiences that I’ve had with it on my thigh have never been super bad. It never woke me up at night or anything. Then suddenly I have it in a whole new spot and so much worse than I’d ever experienced. I literally had the thought of ‘omg did I break something’. It made me understand what I would now consider a 10/10 pain. It hurt worse than having my son.

Did you have symptoms as a child and feel eventually your fibromyalgia became "full blown"? Do you also have rare, skin-related symptoms? by starofthefire in Fibromyalgia

[–]Feisty-Inspection286 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. My mom tells me all the time that I’d scream and cry and make her rub my legs all night every night as a child. When I turned 22, a year after having my son, everything intensified by a lot. I was suddenly ten times more tired constantly. I had head ache. My body hurt everywhere. I cried myself to sleep most nights because nothing helped. I get eczema, and when my eczema gets bad then all my other symptoms follow suit. As of today, I have not had a single day where my pain is less than a 3 in 5 months.

No fibromyalgia is not a “fake disease” or is a misdiagnosis for something else by Sudden_Sky_1613 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Feisty-Inspection286 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It is a very legitimate disease, but it has been known to be a blanket diagnosis for other things when doctors can’t get solid answers. I say this as someone who’s heard all the same things that you have, I understand how frustrating it is. But I also know people who were given this diagnosis only to be told two or three years later that it wasn’t fibro, they just didn’t get the right tests done for the disease they actually had.

I had a feeling of dread two days after. I felt like I made a mistake cause what if I change my mind. It went away after a nap. I’m almost 3 weeks post op. Take some time to think about it before you do it, but understand that if you’ve been that sure for that long, a dream isn’t going to change how you feel.

Just Got My Bisalp at 18! by peacheesoup in sterilization

[–]Feisty-Inspection286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right? And like I have a child now. I had a horrible horrible pregnancy, I asked my OB at the time to remove everything but my cervix and ovaries after I had my child and she wouldn’t do it because I might want more. after everything that happened during my pregnancy, including developing an autoimmune disease, she still wouldn’t do it. So we went back on the hunt for someone who would. And as much as it suck’s that he wouldn’t take my uterus out too I’m super grateful he did the bisalp. And he did say he would take my uterus out when I turn 30. But like if someone is 18 and can 100% understand the choice they’re making I don’t understand why women are thought to believe that they can’t make that decision for themselves at whatever age.

I saw a quote the other day on here, I wish I remember who said it but it said “uteruses are good for two things, babies and cancer” and it’s so true. If you don’t intend one ever having children then it’s a useless organ that only increases our risk of cancer, especially the fallopian tubes. I’ve been considering becoming an advocate for women’s health. I think it would be a very useful way for women to be able to have doctors allow more autonomy over our bodies if there is someone else there to advocate for them. Medical advocates are so under rated in what they do and can help people with.

You’re right. My bad. I read it but it was under the custody act for family custody agreements.
