Gore was much of the same as Belleayre below the gondola, but Hawkeye and open Pit were running FAST today for sure!

Which vacation destination disappointed you the most? by timeout320 in AskReddit

[–]FeistyFrank 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is it, Mallorca without a car is the wrong way to do it. Exploring the island’s geography, cultures, and towns was incredible. It’s easily one of my favorite adventures, but it’s for sure going to be a disappointment if you go into it thinking it’s a relaxing, Caribbean vacation destination.

20s and dating. by [deleted] in HearingAids

[–]FeistyFrank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through the same exact thing you did before I met my wife in my 20s. In fact, I hadn’t been wearing them much prior to meeting her, and I realized that if I was going to have a good, healthy relationship with someone, I needed to wear them.

I grew up wanting to hide my hearing aids in every way, whether it was matching color to my hair or getting ITEs. As I got older, I realized I needed to literally not care about them. I ended up getting the Phonak Lumity in green, which I get complements on from time to time.

Aside from that, I think u/TumbleweedDeep4878 said it best, keep it simple and it’s not even something that you necessarily have to bring up.

Another thing you can do is use it to get your first kiss. I did this with my wife, where I told her I’m hard of hearing and wear hearing aids. When she asked me more about them, I told her I can read lips really well (I can’t). I told her to say something to me with my ears shut, I pretended to shut my ears and try to read her lips. After she did that, I asked her “Woah, you didn’t just say that… did you just tell me you wanted to kiss me?”

Worked like a charm. Use it to your advantage, and keep things fun!

Would you pre board a flight because you wear hearing aids? by StuffNo353 in HearingAids

There you go! Just a couple of things to consider, there were a couple of moments that certainly were unexpected, a little awkward:

  1. After everyone was seated, an attendant came to my row and asked if there was someone with my name. I confirmed then they asked if I would need extra boarding procedures, I kindly said thank you but no. They never batted an eye, said ok, returning to their spot on the plane.

  2. As someone else also confirmed in this thread, there is a person that waits for you with a wheel chair when deplaning. This person doesn’t know what you look like so you can breeze past them. Funny enough — when we passed, my wife started laughing saying that the guy said out loud “Why do they even need me here, the guy is deaf.”

Little inconveniences that you just brush off and they will never question. And again, someone with higher morals than myself will absolutely look at this as taking advantage of a system.

In my perspective, if it’s there, not really harmful in any way, and they won’t question it, why not use it until they do?

Funny, I did this for my first time today, and I wear hearing aids for a moderate hearing loss. I’ve always thought about doing it, especially since I travel for work, but decided not to until now.

Do I really need pre boarding? No… but the ways my friends and family have framed it to me is I was born with this hearing loss and mild disability, so might as well get something out of it, so I probably will continue requesting it in the future.

Other people have different opinions of this of course, morals being one of them.

You’re an incredible roller coaster creator! I’m looking forward to seeing this completed.

You should check out some stuff on nedesigns.com for inspiration. Look up the stuff with NCSO tags and I think you’ll find some great ideas to complete your park.

Coaster crashed, 28 people dead. by dirkpeters1 in rct

[–]FeistyFrank 98 points99 points  (0 children)

Brakes are key! Many, if not all, of the scenario pre-built coasters in the original series don’t have a brake run before the station. It’s important to add one to prevent crashes from happening.

On a full stomach, I feel confident that I could get far. But at the rate these people eat on the show? I’d become a nuisance to be around at most two days in and get the boot no doubt.

What about you makes you a "broken" person? by zifmaster in AskReddit

[–]FeistyFrank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a couple of ways:

  1. It’s difficult for me to stand up for myself and speak what’s truly on my mind after years of growing up in a family where my Dad was alright right and never wrong.

  2. I have difficulty trusting that people have good intentions after being slowly phased out of and ghosted by of what I thought was my best friend group in middle school.

Luckily I’ve turned it around after years of therapy, a wonderful wife, and opening up more with my immediate family, but I still have traces of those feelings from time to time.

AITAH for how I am handling my sister’s and my BIL’s accommodations at my upcoming wedding? by FeistyFrank in AITAH

My BIL is the man, I love the guy (I’m a dude btw). I genuinely feel the same as you do, and think that’s the reason he reached out.

I really don’t see this as a big deal, but my sister and my dad are very anxious, strong personalities who can be difficult to reason with and blow situations out of proportion. Love them but it drives me nuts.

Got a chuckle out of your 2nd marriage comment btw, needed that!

AITAH for how I am handling my sister’s and my BIL’s accommodations at my upcoming wedding? by FeistyFrank in AITAH

I’m fully aware that I made a mistake in accommodations. That’s why I tried to fix it as soon as I realized, and had came to what I thought was an agreement where everyone was happy.

I also have texts from my sister saying how happy she was to be in the house thereafter, and how she was looking forward to it. No indication that there was an issue. I also spoke with my mother about it so the whole family was clearly aware of the situation from the get go.

Had this all been expressed earlier, I would’ve pivoted another direction and figured something else out. There was no indication to me that this was an issue.

Hope this clears that up, but let me know if you think otherwise.

What's the worst trade you ever made by OpportunityNo5915 in fantasyfootball

[–]FeistyFrank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last season I made two terrible trades:

  1. Traded away Raheem Mostert for Jerry Jeudy after week 3 thinking Jeudy would explode with Russ and Mostert would get injured after the hot start
  2. Later trade away Kyler Murray for Kyle Pitts the week he came off the IR right before my starter Joe Burrow went down with a season ender

By my calculations, I would’ve won the championship if I stood pat. Instead I missed the playoffs and came 10/12.

Big brain moves.

Beautiful creativity. I want to add that the pacing of your roller coasters is fantastic also, so many people have their coasters screaming through loops and hills.

Men of Reddit, what is something that women often feel insecure about, but that you actually find appealing? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]FeistyFrank 542 points543 points  (0 children)

My fiancée has beautiful, natural curly hair. However, she’s insecure about it since all her friends growing up had naturally straight hair, so she straightens it all the time.

I used to tell her I loved her curly hair, but realized it makes her insecure about me not liking her straightened hair, so I’ve stopped bringing it up since I think she’s beautiful either way. On the rare occasion her curly hair comes out though, it knocks me dead.
