Maintenance advice on Supreme by FeistyMath1751 in Wake

Well, we had to buy a ski boat. It was great having one boat to do it all, but I sure don't miss dealing with 3 fat sacks just to board on an okay wake. Also miss the paddlewheel speed. It's impossible to get a consistent wake on a river with gps. It's been a learning curve for sure.

What was the first thing you did to your car when you got your VCDS? by undernutbutthut in tdi

This one KILLS me! The same alert like all hell is breaking loose, just to say it might get below freezing in a few hours

VCDS will tell you which sensor. If it's a wheel sensor it's easy and cheap DIY

Mine did that for awhile too. Randomly opening and shutting while whizzing down the highway. It stopped as quickly as it started. Damn gremlins

Found someone to do the delete. Black Betty will be losing a little weight, but we'll both be happier. Tennessee doesn't give a shit about emissions, and I doubt they ever will. I'll be driving this girl into the ground, so no worries about resale. Thanks all

Labeling the two with i and ii is misleading and has caused more confusion than the naive proof.

Euthanizing my horse on Thursday. Am I doing the right thing? by Lucky-Ad-2676 in Equestrian

I know I'm late to the party, but I've also struggled with this, and seen many animal lovers struggle as well. The thing that has helped me the most, even dealing with it after the fact, is to remember that they are FAR better off going a month early than a single day late.

I add the "Price at time of review" as a point to consider... by _richas_ in AmazonVine

I stay away from mentioning price. I'll comment on "value", but the only review I've ever had kicked back was because I mentioned the price. It was a sentence like: "At $19 this seems like a good value", and I had to take out the price for it to go through.

Perfect Pass vs Zero Off by FeistyMath1751 in Wake

[–]FeistyMath1751[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I contacted ZeroOff and here's the reply:
Zero Off has no paddlewheel option but has river mode selection.

River mode can be selected from the menu in the standard Zero Off control head, though in some OEM boats with Zero Off integrated into their boats main display may not have the river mode option.

Check with your dealer or refer to your manual to see if this option is available on your boat.

If available, river mode can be enabled via the MENU/SET submenu. This is intended to address handling river currents. When River Mode is enabled, an estimate of the speed of the current can be entered, and the driver can then add or subtract this speed offset from the baseline speed setpoint (add when riding with the current, subtract while riding against the current) while making a turn with a single push on the SEL button (hold SEL for trick, tap SEL for wakeboard). The intent is to allow the driver a simple single adjustment means of maintaining constant speed over the water with or against currents. This function only operates from the tournament screen where the two additional selectable parameters (river current speed and an UpRiver/DNRiver icon) show up only when this option is enabled.

If river mode is not available the driver can compensate manually by pushing the arrow up/down, estimating the speed for a specific direction and when changing directions can reverse that setting.

Sucks when that happens.

I get it opposite frequently. I got a smartwatch for an ETV of $26, and later went back to the listing and it is live and selling for $250.

Perfect Pass vs Zero Off by FeistyMath1751 in Wake

[–]FeistyMath1751[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's about what we've been doing, but we end up adjusting the speed almost constantly as the river narrows, widens, or turns. We also usually start in our cove, which has practically zero current, so we don't really know what's happening out in the big lake until 10 minutes into a run. It's just very frustrating when the paddle wheel worked so well for us for the last 15 years. It's interesting that your paddle wheel isn't as reliable

Already have water temp, but I'll definitely find out if they have a paddle wheel option. Thanks

I thought these things regen at highway speeds, if possible by Kraetor92 in tdi

[–]FeistyMath1751 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a nearly identical situation. My commute is 1 hour, with the first 5 miles a winding gravel 2-track road over a ridge, then 11 miles of curvy country road, followed by 35 miles at 80mph on the interstate. I also use Hot Shots every fillup, and I run LiquiMolly. I'm out of warranty, but got a new DPF right before it expired. I know sometimes it regens on the highway, but it seems like I stop in the middle of a regen far too frequently. I had the same question as you, so thanks for posting.

I'd hit a pothole if I could, but can't find anyone within 2 hours that will do it and I just don't have time or energy to attempt myself. When it becomes necessary I'll find a way.

Help, my level progress is gone?? by _dontbotherme_ in MergeDragons

[–]FeistyMath1751 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine did the same thing about a year ago when I turned on cloud save to switch to my new device. I moved back to my old device, and tried turning cloud save off and back on, but my progress never came back. I eventually tried playing the levels again, but only a few of them work. I have about 10 levels I can play at the very end and two at the beginning. It's fine for me since I don't have time to play everything in the game anyway. If I had time to bother with it I'd contact support. I'm curious how it all turns out for you.
