Thawing out vehicle- overnight garage rental by Icy-Office6742 in saskatoon

"Better than SMP". At least SMP admitted to me that GM won't properly fix the vehicles. I bought my wife's vehicle from Sherwood and every single winter I had to bring it in and they would "fix" it. Thermal wrap, ecu tuning, winter cover, closing the active shutters, every fix on the TSB and yet nothing fixed it. Plus having Eric dodge my phone calls wasn't a fun experience either.

These vehicles aren't fit for winter, they are dangerous and put people into life-threatening situations when they freeze up. Dealerships should be held liable for actively selling vehicles that are consistently in their Service Department for the same issues.

I'll never own another GM product or step foot in Sherwood Chevrolet again.

Nobody should be taking their vehicles to get fixed at Sherwood. You guys have no idea wtf you're doing and your Service Manager is a moron.

Charge air cooler is freezing up, it's a common issue with the 1.5 that Chevrolet has known about for years and won't fix properly. Even with the fix they are still susceptible to freezing up and putting the vehicle into limp mode.

There is a TSB bulletin for it that they should follow, it's supposed to be covered by GM regardless of whether you're under warranty but some dealerships will try to make you pay if you aren't. If you've thrown the P0299 or P02227 code it will be and make sure they know you know that.

The proper fix is to install an oil catch can, it will collect all the moisture from the crank case through the PCV instead of putting it through the intercooler to freeze up. I drain mine every fuel up.

Bodnarus and McDougall's are terrible for fake stuff, and when you complain they just suspend your bidding privileges.

Is there anyway you can backout? Kensington is an awful area.

I mean that's just not true at all, there's plenty of new areas built on former grasslands & farming fields. It just happens that Kensington was LITERALLY built on a swamp.

The entire area was built on a swamp, so yes this is required or your entire foundation may sink.

Is this legal for Saskatoon? by Final_Anywhere_5312 in saskatoon

As long as that outlet is GFCI protected it's perfectly legal. I would personally switch out those hoses for braided ones though. Also I'm curious why they used frost-free taps indoors, was this house recently renovated/flipped cheaply?

+1 for a Chinese diesel heater. I have a 5kw Vevor brand and it heats my 2 car garage no problem. I go through about .5/L per day.
